    Probable outcome was thermonuclear detonation!

The exoctic materials and intricate weaving patterns contain soo much BS that this type of detonation is virtually guaranteed!

A white Belkin (plastic finish, not the fabric finish) that I bought cheaply on eBay. It's about 2 metres long and it produces sparklies. It's suspiciously thin, too... On eBay, you win some, you lose some. For what I paid for it, I can't be bothered to spend the time necessary to embark on eBay's convoluted Dispute procedure. It's going in the bin.

All the purple QED Qunex HDMI leads I've bought on eBay have been brilliant. Many thanks for suggesting them to me.

I like the fact that the new cable is $500 and some enterprising seller is offering one thats been "burnt in" for a mere $2500 :) Also the "what do customers ultimately buy after viewing this item" :rotfl:

I don't know why this particular lead produces sparklies. It just does. And the QED ones don't. So, whatever the technical reason for this, it's going in the bin!

When any digital cable is very close to its 'cliff edge' (The point at which it completely fails due to an overload in bandwidth), youll get 'sparklies'

Getting sparklies means it isn't working.
