my husband wants to buy me out of house.help needed

Stamp Duty changes I think at the beginning of January - Google that. might encourage him to make a sensible offer before then. Otherwise in the meantime you are living in the house paying half the mortgage... I wouldn't be in a hurry to sort it out. Would mediation be an option?0

With his income, and you currently living in the house, who is the bank, mortgage holder or loan company more likely to go after if you default on your share of the bills and dig in your heels?
In your husband's shoes, I'd be bending over backwards to keep you sweet since the alternative could be so dire.
As an aside, I do hope that you've taken out the hubby's honourable and courageous friend for a slap-up meal (or some treat that he would really appreciate) as a thank you for giving you the truth! Good luck.0 -
Bed was bought for £1,000 one month before he confessed.
Somehow this struck me as a very sad thing. To buy a new marital bed only to discover 1 month later that your husband is a cheat... How did he even agree to this purchase?
Truly feel for you and wish you all the best.By the way he sounds, you are well out of this marriage.

Thanks, very kind of you. It was very sad, still feel sad to be honest and it will be a relief when all sorted and I never have to talk to him again.
I even recently found out that he bought the last girl to see if she liked the bed and the newly decorated bedroom...was gutted. It was his decision to spend so much on a new bed. Though I do love it i really do not want it, don't want anything, want new memories and not the joint ones!
Thankfully the girl dumped him so she won't be moving in...lol! She had a child and he wanted nothing to do with him. Though he has had many more since then, I feel so sad for the girls meeting him, all on line and single mothers...tragic as he hates children!
I will be so much happier when free!London Loz x0 -
all great replies and support...thanks so much for encouragement. I think that I am going to find it hard to trust again, emotionally and financially, nice to think that I may meet someone nice in the future, though even alone will be happier than always wondering what he is up to and being controlled and maipulated!London Loz x0

There is someone out there waiting for you who is worthy of your love
Took me a while but I found a great guy eventually - sure he has a few faults (he sometimes snores!) but he was worth the wait
Get this guy out of your life and put him behind youThen look forward to the rest of your life!

When you do settle things and move out I'd be inclined to be a bit over vigorous with the cleaning, a spash of bleach here and there, careless use of the hoover, a few scuffs on the walls, don't want to leave the place to nice for any future lady friends!0

...Yes, he can afford to buy me out, he earns £50k, though he says he has no money, yet he has savings, shares and has just bought himself a new car and motorbike for cash!
Isn't this disposal of assets? And as such, your solicitor should be told about it, and the cash from the other cars!0 -
He will have to disclose all his assets and a financial settlement reached on your behalf. I would not do anything until he replies to your solicitor. It may be worth you going to court if there is more to be gained.0
