i think when we didi the skittles, we left it a couple of days then strained it through kitchen roll to get rid of the sediment

Another idea is to make a compilation of your partners favourite songs, and write it to disc, you can even design and print off your own cover for your cd, this can be done with a little bit of computer knowledge and I'm sure he would love it, I did this for my hubby last year as I threw a surprise cocktail party for him the Theme was "Cocktail" the one with tom cruise and with a bit of help from my brother compiled all his favourite songs from the movie and wrote it to disc, he was thrilled!
