This is related to the OP original question lolI was reading the free tesco magazine this morning and it had a fab idea for a xmas pressie sure to please just about everyone lol:) its a recipe for Cranberry and white chocolate fudge the recipe is really easy and costs £2.16 to make you can do something similar hun make your own box decorate with lovely festive ribbon and make some fudge or sweets to put inside, I'm going to do that for all my neighbours this year(yes I love my neighbours lol) as I worked out it would cost me £5.00 to make 2 batches which is enough to fill 5 boxes. brilliant and its so simple if anyone is interested I can give them the recipe:) hthLOVE isn't finding someone you can live with. Here's the RECIPE Debbie:) and Laurissa everyone else who may be interested White Chocolate and Cranberry Fudge Yum Yum:)
Ingredients:
350g(12oz) granulated sugar
25g(1oz) unsalted butter
175ml(6fl oz) evaporated milk
100g(31/2oz) dried sweetened cranberries(these are £1.00 at Asda just by the way:)
300g(10oz) white chocolate chopped
Cut piece of Baking parchment large enough to line a shallow 25x20cm(10x8in) baking tin or a 1kg(2lb) loaf tin.
Put the sugar, butter, evaporated milk in a large heavy-based pan. Heat Gently until the sugar has dissolved completely.
Bring to the boil stirring continuously( I repeat stir continuously lol) with a wooden spoon, then reduce the heat and simmer for 5 minutes( idea use your timer as timing is pretty crucial at this stage)
Immmediately remove from heat the add cranberries + chocolate. Allow chocolate to melt then quickly stir the mixture and pour straight into the tin, it will thicken immediately, so is best you work quickly and dont get distracted by the phone or your gorgeous fireman nieghbour( ooh sorry thats me lol:)
Spread into tin and chill for an hour or so until firm. Cut into squares.
Use a piece of card(to make your own box you can get loads of templates on-line) or a nice ready make box which you can decorate with xmas paper and ribbon and attach a message, Line with baking parchment and fill box with your yummy fudge squares.
* LAST BUT NOT LEAST GIVE AS PRESENT AND IMPRESS EVERYONE LOL:)LOVE isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live WITHOUT

I emailed them for samples last week and they replied saying they'd be happy to send out samples...if I made a purchase. Bit cheeky, I thought. Maybe try their counters in Selfies?0 -
Thanks savingmummy, gonna do the heart shaped cookies! I bake anyway so have all the stuff. Also the Celeb autographs is a good shout, will look into that. Good luck with your hunt for next year!savingmummy wrote: »I have been searching online for free stuff. Most are small samples but when you add them up and place them in a box they do look good and handy to store away.
I have in the past made heart shaped cookies, towered them and wrapped them in clear plastic and added ribbon - like most stores do but cheaper!!
Signed photo from his favourite celeb or tv star many of the sites have a direct address where you can write to the actor/actress and they send you a 6x4 signed photo.
I think it is a lovely idea and will be doing this next yr for my hubby...better start looking around from now on x0
