Hope you get SLY sorted aswell lol
Good news have just received an email from SLY's executive department and the broadband will remain live until the 13/02 and as a MAC code has been issued I will be able to change broadband provider shortly before this date

they are also not cutting of the telephone today as previously advised so I would also assume that this will stay connected until BT take over my telephone line again

    and guess what!!!

    it's started RAINING :D

in the words of the Rolling Stones
You can't always get what you want (no)
But if you try sometimes you just might find
    You get what you need
    Oh yes! Woo!
    Best of Luck :)

    morning peeps:D
Hope everyone is ok, havent had much time to pop in or comp this week, had new boiler fitted, no heating for 2 days, no water all day one day and today the electrician is coming to do the new thermostat so i suppose soon i will have no electric today:rolleyes:
Neighbours will think I am nutty cos I have just been stood in the middle of the road taking pics of our house for little woks homework then he has to draw it at school from the photo. Funny thing is they asked for a colour pic but our house isnt very colourful. Look do you think this will be ok, our neighbour has just painted his white (but then he fell of his ladder and hasnt been able to walk since before christmas due to breaking his pelvis and other bones:eek:)so ours looks pretty dull compared to the neighbours

    What a day!!
Still trying to sell the house and we got a call from the estate agents last night advising us they'd booked someone in for 1pm today - cue mad rushing round last night and early this morning to get every nice and tidy - was on a 12-7 today, get to work at 11:55am, my mobile rings and its school asking me to get DS as he's feeling sick and has been to the loo a few times! I had to say hi then bye and get back to the school, call the estate agents to advise we would be in this afternoon only to find they've changed the viewing to Monday!! I've now got to wait for OH's meeting to finish so he can come home for the kids and I can get back to work!! AAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!
Made it - 15 years married!! Finally!! xx:beer:

    Hi all.

Sounds as if with the thaw everyone has brightened up. We still have snow lying and some ice but at least it is thawing even if it is slow.

Hope to get out tomorrow to the local shop for my paper. Oooh so excited first proper trip out in almost 2 weeks. Was a bit stir crazy but my lovely friend just brought me a belated Xmas pressie of Baileys with chocolates in a gift pack & I finally had some post. Most was junk but I got the £15 Topshop gift card I won on gift o matic facebook daily comp so I have registered that and will pass over to my granddaughter to spend it.

Hope everyone has a lucky day. Hugs to all who need them.

As you'll be a free customer, I'd have a look at the broadband cashback options on Quidco as well. It can sometimes work out that you can get bb for free virtually when you take the cashback into account.

Have just sorted my broadband out and took your advice Mamzie and went through Quidco got up to 8mbs with a 40GB allowance with unlimited usage until 30 June 2010 for £7.50 less £25 discount = £5.42 per month

Have gone with BE broadband who are the providers for O2 as they where recommended by the SLY forum team

I'm a now a very happy bunny as i'm now saving £67.50 on tv charges and £4.58 on Broadband and I will soon be reverting back to BT and going on the BT basic Package which cost's £13.50 per quarter with the first £4.50 of calls FREE only prob is 1st minute is 13p then 10p per minute thereafter might be cheaper to use my PAYG mobile

as I hardly use the phone the above will probably be the best option for me

    so in summary I will save £67.50 + £4.58 + £8.54 = £80.62 per month or £967.44 pa

thanks SLY your a pal

    Opinions please!

Pauls 40th on March 14th, I'm toying with ideas of what to do,
He doesn't want a party, and doesn't want to see family who he can't abide.
He has every boys toy he wants, so im stuck on a decent gift,

We r doing florida this year, so want to ideally stay in England, did toy with two nights in Paris, Ev is totally not bothered about going.

But how does, 2 nights in a posh london hotel, doing london eye and dinner cruise,on first night then grabbing a show and theatre meal for second?
Is that too much? i want to make it special and have saved a fair bit, i have a friend that works at late deals and can get me a nice hotel and show quite cheap xx
    My budget is £1k,
I toyed with balloon flights but he wouldn't be over awed, i even thought dinner on the orient express and a show?
I can't decide and need to book somethign soon to get the dates i need,
any help or advice, suggestions etc appreciated xxx
( i did think of buying him a puppy! but he would say that it was for me lol!) xxxx

Edit: he has a really nice expenisve watch and doesn't wear any other jewellery other than nipple ring, so thats out of the question xxx
