lol Jean my oh is the same the other day he informed me the snow sends me crackers:rolleyes: just cos i wake up in the night and check to see if there is anymore snow, then when we get up i'm wanting to go out make snowmen take kids sledging etc and all he can do is moan about them catching a cold:rolleyes:was he ever young:confused:makes me wonder sometimes then I remember about his tales of going down the big hill in our local woods (we all did years ago) on fertilizer bags, trays and anything else we could get our hands on, think he is just getting boring in his old age:D

I'm just like you, always looking out of the window to see how deep it is. I just love it. When I walked to the shop and there's all these children with rosey cheeks, it's so cute. I was brought up to believe that you need a good winter to get rid of all the nasty germs, though central heating doesn't work for that. There's whole families out sledging here and it is so wonderful to see. Though one little girl yesterday was asking her mum if she could go home and have her blanket, bless.
Another thing I remembered when I was walking yesterday was the fact that all the paths seemed to get cleared by people putting out their ashes from the coal fires there was no grit in them days. Ahhhhhhhhhhh!

Then they should have sent you a letter telling you of the increase. They are not allowed to increase payments without your consent. The letter tells you how much the yearly policy costs and any charges for spreading the cost if you pay monthly. It also tells you the new monthly direct debit amount. It is put in place automatically if you do not contact them to cancel it. You will probably be told they sent you a letter but I would argue this with them. Also go to a comparison site while you are waiting for them to contact you and check the costs elsewhere. If you find somewhere cheaper offering you the same policy use it as a bargining tool to get it brought down. I do this every year and my insurance companies always pricematch.

    i agree with this.
when i worked in bank i came across situations like this. and unless the contract(for some reason) says anything about them continuing the cover/changing amount, they should have told you before. hope you get this sorted out.
THANKS to everyone who posts competitions. you are all :A.
