Gone 10:30 and I have not had a drink. Seriously, that is a record. Don't particularly want one either.0

:j:j that's fantastic - well done you :A
Read through your thread last night, made me cryNo real advice to offer except take one day at a time. You have been so brave so far, going bankrupt, moving away, finding a job, the yoga, and posting on here
Good luck with eveything, take care of you :A

Good for you, girl! I have a friend going through rehab at the mo for drink dependence and it ain't pretty but then most of the last 20 years weren't either. The demon crept up on her when she wasn't looking0

I don't feel brave. TBH its a relief to be able to let it all out. And a lot of it has happened over 2yrs and more, its not as though I have done it overnight.
B&T - I think I have had a bit of a shock, realising that I had become more than a social drinker - in fact as I have no friends nearby every drink is on my own. But I am pleased with a dry day!0 -

One of my best friends was texting me and admitted they are totally skint (no debts, thank God). Now although I am not olling in it, I do have a 'buffer', so typed her address on an envelope and posted off £50 'with love'. She may well figure the post code but I know she will appreciate it, tho she would never ask. She deserves it, I have it. Fair deal!!!!
Just read through all of your post.. What a kind sweet considerate thing to do. Puts you head and shoulders above a lot of people. Lots of people no matter how much they think they are kind and good friends would not do what you did for this friend!!!
Just looking through your posts of the last few days (only to see if you are male or female - not that it makes any difference just nosey) and with everything you have on your plate can't beleive what thoughtful and helpful advice you have given to people..
Keep your chin up girl. you will get there in the end..

Even though our online acquaintance has only been days I was worried about you when you mentioned being on the second bottle of wine recently. Stuff has a way of getting tricky when you're not paying close attention. I've got raging alcoholics on both sides of my family so I'm in quite a high-risk group and that's one of the reasons I never, ever drink at home alone even though once in a while I feel like it.
One day at a time, dear Skinty. One day at a time.0 -
