That's the message I keep getting from AVG Free version 9 which I downloaded about a week ago to my regret. I have used 8.5 and previous versions with no problems until I did the latest version. I was about to post and ask if anyone else was having problems with slow download speeds since upgrading when the above message came up.

Am I the only one experiencing this. Let me know please. Thanks for reading.

Same problem here, using AVG 8.5 and I get the warning on firefox and ie8.

I got the same warning when I logged on. Has this got anything to do with the site being down earlier?

As I'm not that knowledgeable about this sort of thing is it actually safe to just use the site as normal?

Same as others I have firefox and AVG 9.

I don't know what the link scanner does! And I never installed the toolbar, the message that pops up recommends installing the toolbar to protect your puter!
I'm doing a full scan now but it seems other AV's are saying the site has been infected!:(

yep...ive just got it as well...took a screen print as I freaked out LOL but 'pleased' to know im not the only one....but is it anything to be worried about...like should i really be off the mse site and doing a virus scan????:o thanks :beer:

My guess would be that it's due to the site going down earlier and it will be corrected tomorrow without you doing anything, especially as several different programs are flagging this as a problem.

I'm getting threat detected messages too and am unable to scroll to the lower half of the page :rolleyes: I'm using IE will try FF and hope that works
