Payment protection, credit card help.

just after some advice. my mother passed away a few years ago and the other day i was going through of some of my dads old paper work and noticed he paid off my mums credit card balance. She was paying paymnet protection so a) should he not have done this was he covered on the payment protection? b) can he claim this money back if he did not have to clear the balance?

So sorry to hear of your beloved mum.
I agree with Lee, there is a good case here, I would try to reclaim on the PPI and the interest.
