  • I bought the happyland set for my little boy and had the same problem that others have experienced.

I have phoned Debenhams tonight and they would not offer me the 20% discount others seemed to have received. I was told they would send a courier to pick up the set.

I would still like to keep the set and thought it would be a better bargin with the extra 20% off.

I was wondering if anyone else encountered the same problem?

    Thank you

I had a nightmare last year buying online from Debenhams, I got so mad that I found the headoffice telephone number and called them, they put you through to the complaints department and I must admitt it was like dealing with a totally different store than that off the call center. I would advise anyone to call headoffice if they are having problems. I got all my problems sorted with one phone call, it had taken me a week prior to that going round in circles!

Debenhams have been fine for me.... BUT there delivery company is the worst - Wife came home as she went out with her mother, so her car was in the drive and found the note when she got in, parcel left under car  It was stuff under the car at the rear, if she had missed the parcel she would have driven off and wrecked the parcel and maybe damaged the car

    IDIOTS:naughty:

I was offered the discount via email from a cutomer service rep (after they repeatedly ignored my questions submitted online about why the set differed) to accept I was told to reply to the email (not possible to the email address) so had to put another online request through. As yet the discount is still not forthcoming!

Debenhams are terrible. I bid and won a set of towels from them on Ebay. I then gave all my old towels away to charity.

I waited paitently for my new set to arrive. Then, out of the blue, I got a paypal email saying that Debenhams had refunded my money and that I wouldn't be getting my towels at all because of " a discrepency in our stockfile system". Which basically means that they had either sold the towels that I had paid for to someone else or they lied to me when they said that there were available in the first place.

I checked their feedback list and they appear to be doing this to customers on a regular basis. It's absolutely appalling that a store as big as Debenhams are breaching contract and decieving people on Ebay and getting away with it
