Commission is a big part of what they get.

They get even more if they can make you pay up there and then over the phone, which is why they will lie, threaten, bully and do just about anything to get a payment.

i cannot get over the things these dca's will say to try and get a payment. they can't have any compassion in their bodies or a heart. kerry - what they said to you was evil...i wish we knew who that was!
recording dca calls is a good tip, i guess when going through it you are vulnerable and don't think of things like that

No one wishes that more than me confused, thats why when anyone posts about DCAs I try to help them, Ive been there-and youre right-when youre vulnerable you just take it, I just wish more people were really aware of how little these idiots can actually do.

oooohh...agree to pay.....offer a few sobs and sniffles, a bit of telephonic squirming, then give details of a dead bank account.....immediately after get so upset you have to drop the phone.....

can they tell there and then whether the card is valid?

I know that they have a job to do.....& I know that I owe the debt ( LOL albeit a drop in the ocean compared with the overall sum:eek::eek:) . I do however feel that as I have complied with all the requirements in this case that they cannot then start to door knock.

Besides which if I pay up then the OR will just demand it back from Moorcroft as it will be a preferential creditor payment. (sorry could`nt resist that smilie)

Will be interesting to see how `educated` in the world of debt this doorstep collector really is.:rolleyes:;)

Angel have you seen the letter revoking permission under common law for them to attend the property? They cant attend without an appointment?? Its a fantastic template....

SSA..you could try a sort-of jehovahs' witnesses thing in reverse...invite him in for a cuppa, then proceed to convert him, aim is to get him to resign his job!

maybe we should have a sweep...see who can get a debt collector to resign the soonest?
