I had just lost my dad, and couldnt pay the monthly installment (funeral costs) back in 06 they demanded I paid in full instead :mad:

Then one guy said my dad must have died proud knowing I couldnt pay my debts, and I just lost it

I just wish I had known then what I know now because that guy wouldnt have got away with it.

I think they just employ the scum of the earth, that comment has haunted me ever since.

Thats why that thread in the Arms is so funny-you know the Debtitas one-I just find DCAs altogether VILE.

I have his mobile number( from the paperwork he left)...LOL he really really would`nt want me harrassing him back when he is relaxing at home with his family would he? ( I can be a b*tch when I want to be)

Part of me wants to take this further....more for the fact that they can`t -

a/ demand information
b/ effectively hand over documents that give full details to a 3rd party
c/ chase this when they have regular updates from the CAB & are fully aware of my financial statement.

Kerry Hun...thats makes me very upset that these people can get away with such behaviour.

Its a shame we would get in trouble for saying the same kind of things back to them Angel...otherwise he would be in for a hard time tonight lol

I just wish people were really availed of their rights without actively seeking advice-I think the curriculum should not just cover good housekeeping but your rights when things go wrong. God I wish I had recorded that call. I could have absolutely wiped the floor with them.

Last year though when I was ill this stress would have had me reaching for the pills!

Thankfully I know how to approach this now ;) but apparently he was quite menacing.

Are these collectors salaried or on commission? does anyone know?

I think they get a basic pretty much minimum wage but commission and bonuses give a pretty good overall...probably why they can be soo vile...nothing corrupts decency like the green...
