i'm sure you are resilient, but being that ill can bring you down mentally so be kind to yourself and take it one step at a time. you sound a tough cookie to me :) hot drinks in the inn tonight! x
  • Oh dear Alistair, I really feel for you. I'm glad you're on the mend now.

Aw Alastair. I am sorry to read about your weekend. Frustratingly idiotic NHS trust where you were.. and even more so for not planning what the procedure should be during the Christmas break.

Tamiflu was good for me with regard to the flu but be careful about chest pains , I found it really worrying when I had pain in breathing. I stupidly called NHS direct about it and got a right ticking off by the doctor I was patched through to "Do not call NHS direct about swine flu!" Er I didn't, I called because it's 1.30 in the morning and I'm having difficulty breathing with some pain, I'm worried. "It will be the swine flu" Don't ring NHS Direct about the Swine Flu.. !!!!!! - NHS provide a service and a good service BUT flawed throughout.

Take real good care of yourself and I hope the little one can keep calm and not worry about his tough auld man. x
  • Well something else happened now, I was going down to see my Aunt but understandably she's not up to visitors as she has the funeral bits to sort out. But I also planned to spend some time with my Nan (92) but I've just heard she's had a fall and broken her hip so is going to be in hospital. Decided I'm still going as I'm looking forward to the break and so are the kids, we'll just find things to do and visit my Nan in hospital. My Dad will be staying at my Nan's so I can visit with him as well.

Oh well, at least I don't need to worry about being able to afford to drive down as I've been putting money away for emergencies.

oh no light...i hope your nan is ok...

my grandad loses his balance quite frequently, his knees play up. he fell down xmas eve and banged his head :( it hurts to see him like this...it's hard to know what to do

went for a walk earlier - WOW it was cold
  • Thanks Confused, it was only lucky she hasn't done it before as she falls over a lot.

I've been out just to pop to the shops and it was lethal out there - pavements are just ice! I fell over when I came back so promptly went out and cleared the path down to the steps - straight past my neighbours houses, so cleared for them as well. Cream crackered by the time I finished but at least I shouldn't fall over again!! :rotfl::rotfl:
