Hmmm those things seem to get thru no matter how much you block off.
Perhaps buy some peppermint oil..place it on some cotton balls and then put them in the area you think it's in. The mice hate that smell.

....Where does one get a mouse trap?.....
Purpleivy It's a pity that the ironmongers on Walton Road had closed down & got turned into an Indian restaurant - you'd have got one there! Otherwise I would agree that Wilkies will be your best bet, or maybe Morrisons or a garden centre? Or is there anywhere in Latchford village? (Can you tell I'm an ex-Wire girl?!)0 -
Purpleivy - sorry to hear about your mouse problems. Hope you catch the little beggars

Tiredmum - Your poor pooch - it's sad when they are on the wind down. My mum had 2 labs and the one is winding down too. Soils the bedding, can't walk as well due to arthritis (sp?). It's heartbreaking to see but my mums dog isn't in any pain and just potters about the house all day so they are loathe to take things a step further xxx
Finally cleaned my grotty bathroom. Might flick the duster round upstairs. Can't do any more as DD is sleeping and H is at home with a migraine. Think the stress of his dad's accident is catching up with him (he's only got his dad still living as his mum passed away when he was 21 so I think the thought of losing him has hit him harder than he thought).I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knife

Afternoon all.
Firstly, Happy Birthday Sistercas.
Oh dear, I'm very late today. And OS has had to take a back seat; I had a request from the pubs officer of local CAMRA branch to put together some fairly specific info from the Beer Scoring database I maintain for them, to help with deciding on the shortlist for next years Good Beer Guide. It's taken an absolute AGE as I'm having to type one-handed after yesterday's contretemps with the mini-guillotine.
I also have to put together a report for the Pagan Federation meeting at the end of the month - one of the others is going to take it along and read it, as I can't travel to London for the meeting. But I think that one can wait til tomorrow.
I'm informed that we're going to the cinema tonight (Cheapie Tuesday:D) so I have to be ready to be out of the door the moment Mr LW gets home from w*rk. I shudder to think what my [STRIKE]war paint[/STRIKE] make-up is going to look like!
Which reminds me, Vastsarah mmmmmm, Fox Poo Canine Aftershave. I remember it well! :rotfl::rotfl:
Right, cuppa tea, then get the kitchen tidied, methinks (Can't go out with the kitchen looking a tip).
((((HUGS)))) to all who want/need one today. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -

LOL! you can't be far away from me. Indian restaurant (Hilal) is on the corner, it's Pan y Vino where the hardware/ironmongers was. I went to All That Jazz in Stockton Heath. They have the box of traps on the counter! Then got a couple of small bars of chocolate in Aldi, one for me and one for mouse purposes.
I wasn't going to go out cos it's pouring with rain, but I decided if it's peeing it down maybe there wouldn't be such a queue in the Post Office. I was right! Didn't have to wait at the chemist either, was ready by the time I had been to the post office.
It's soooo dark, just gone half three and gloomy! Got to go and get ds in a bit, but a cuppa first I think. Have got one coat of sealer on the dining area floor, must do another one later on.
This might sound very dim, but how do I get the thingy to stay back on the mousetrap?"Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"

Afternoon all
floss2 - thankd for suggestion. I vaguely saw who got in one of the vehicles, the car, this morning and they came from my next door neighbours flat, but I couldn't tell if it was one of the neighbours (a couple) for definate. The neighbours share a different car which was still in car park this morning so it's all a bit confusing!
nordicat - not sure if you know that Debenhams is having a mega day (well few days) starting Weds?
I'll re post later with my day

...I went to All That Jazz in Stockton Heath.
I forgot about All That Jazz! I still have to go in for a mooch when I'm back in the village...I lived in Sankey before moving to the Lancashire coast 3 years ago, halfway between David Lloyd & Asda but the shops are nicer over your way!0 -
