Happy Birthday Sister Cas-have a good one.

Not really much OS to report today ,just doing housework, though I am going to get the soda crystals out to put down one of the sinks as its looking a bit grungy

Bedding washed and dried.I put it on an airer last night, then finished it off in the drier so it only needed a few minutes.I can't stand wet washing hanging around the place and we don't have any radiators downstairs.

Not decided what to have for tea yet, will go and root around the freezer in a mo.
Sorry you're having a rough time of it Reverbe.Chin up and all that-hope things improve for you soon.
Hope everyone has a good day-its beautiful here.x

  • Morning chums ,still got a cod in my nod :) and feeling very snuffly and stuffed up.But my voice has returned from its walkabout at least.
My poor Danny didn't get the job he was after, and is feeling quite down at the moment ,but is hopeful of a few days filming at the end of the month so fingers crossed. His girlfriend Chloe is still waiting to hear from the plods.
I have crafting this afternoon but at the moment I will see how I feel as to whether to go or not.Just had an email from my cousin in Australia, and she says its just over 42 c this week in Adelaide, bit different from North Kent.
Still its dry at the moment and I'm going to hang my washing out for a bit of a blow at least.hope everyone has a good day and <<hugs>> to those who are feeling down and blue
    take care all JackieO x

purpleivy...the best mousetrap is a cat! I have 3 cats and the only mice we get in the house (rarely) is when one of the cats tries to give us a gift lol. Borrow one from a friend heh.

Good luck in any case ;)

:rotfl:was waiting for someone to suggest that. I'm not very good with cats really. I can't imagine how the little bu99er has got in! it's the new utility room and there's a good seal at the back door.

I wonder if I should block the door through to the utility room tonight?

  • Purple Ivy - Wilkinsons sell Mousetraps. Our cat bought a live one in once and then refused point blank to chase after it and take it back out so we had to get a trap. A bit of melted chocolate works better than cheese. They sell humane ones too if you wouldn't be able to dispatch the fella should he not die straight away in the trap.

I got a brand new Sodastream in the local charity shop for £3 yesterday so I might go and get a gas cartridge for it from Tesco. I quite like the idea of not having to buy bottles of fizz which goes flat before I can drink it, saving me money, energy and waste. :T I hate Tesco but they are the only place I can get the canister unless I buy online.

A real OS dinner for us tonight - liver and onions. I'm really, really looking forward to it too. I usually use a Jamie Oliver recipe that has vinegar in it and it is truely delicious. A far cry from the dried out, leathery liver my mum used to serve that had been braised in the oven for about 10 hours :rotfl: (sorry mum). I think this is the way most people my age know liver and this is one of the reasons why it's not popular.
