    That year I went to Italy on holiday and thought I'd phone the bank and let them know I was going to Italy so that my transactions went through without fuss. Got £200 out at Rome Airport then they blocked my card. Took me 30 mins on the mobile to sort it out. Argghhhh..

    Lady Freda's card was compromised by Best Western's Internet (secure Site) in August 2008, fortunately, the card issuer sorted the problem very quickly.

    Sometimes it is not the card issuer or the hloder who is at fault.

    It's still you providing the details though either through handing over your card, entering your card details on a website or sticking it in a dodgy hole in the wall.
