Taxing a car for sale with no insurance

I think not. Check if you will. Start by reading the appropriate clause on your own policy.
The first thing you will find is that the car in question cannot be your own, second it must be insured in it's owners name to use the clause.
I repeat , You cannot ever drive an uninsured vehicle on public roads.
Not on my policy.:rolleyes:Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -

Indeed my last two policies, and a couple of T&C's I also checked make no mention of requiring any other insurance to be in force for driving other vehicle cover. However a recently added clause does require other insurance to be in force, but only when collecting a siezed vehicle.0

My policy says that I can drive another car as long as it isn't mine and with the owners permission - it doesn't mention anywhere about it needing to be insured by them.
Is that a true reflection of the whole clause? They normally say something about the insurance of the other vehicle. This is an open forum, anyone can post and I just did !0 -

Some policies also state you cannot use your third party cover to recover a vehicle siezed under 165 RTA but not mine.:jNope, nothing. Other than the clause I mentioned in a previous post. Some policies may have these restrictions, your policy wording will tell you.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature.
