Hurrah! I attacked DS2's room with gusto! The poor lad moved into 'my office' about 18 months ago and it was never really decommissioned. I've still gots lots of things hidden away in high cupboards and he's accumulated various boxes of mixed things. He'd been so tidy and organised until lately that I had never done a deep clean like I had to for his brother (BAD mummy!). But now I'm a Flylady follower so it'll be easier to keep on top of - and I know he'll help too now. (His brother's another matter altogether!)

I only did one child's room but I did the whole works (and it took 4 hours!) ... does that get me my first Flylady star?

This evening, momentarily, I was 'Best Mum ever'!

I'm really getting into this! Still got 'our' bedroom and the conservatory/dining room/office space to do a deep clean of - plus sorting the attic and garage if I'm out of work for long enough (every cloud, as they say). But we're seeing the benefits of a cleaner, tidier home and hopefully we'll get the children into good habits too. Hubby is cooking tonight!

Well done to everyone who has been mega busy today!!!!!

I have had a long day at work and a long lunch with a friend who commented on how well I look and glowing! Before she knew what had happened and I said how much I had turned a corner this week and how much better I feel now it is over for good.

Off for a glass of vino now and pringles for tea!

Will catch up on flying tomorrow for definite need to locate the list first

it might be worth a try... after all, they aren't going to become resistant to banana skin!

I already have allergies to bananas though.. so it may be hereditary.

Then went out with friend and her wee one this morning. Nightmare trip her wee one who is very precious spoilt and clingy was even worse than usual and just screamed the whole time. Not fun. Plus we went to a craft village where everything was extortionate and the cafe was rubbish (as well as extortionate in there too - £2.95 for a gingerbread snowman:eek::eek:)

We are friends with people like that to make us feel so much better about our own children.. we can sit back with a sigh and say.. Thank goodness mine aren't like that.. and smile smugly!

Triker.. glad your first week back was ok.. don't rush into 4 days if you don't feel ready!!! I just woke up from a nap too.. may grab food and a cuppa and see if I feel good enough to go to the pubic louse tonight seeing as I have no chimps!

Feeling pretty grotty today actually.. AF turning up while I was unwell on Wednesday is horrific today.. I had to make an emergency trip to Boots after the small pinks stuck ST's all over the loo wall last night and I ran out. It is so bad today I am hoping it doesn't continue for months again... I don't think I can cope with more surgery if it decides not to stop!

As for flying.. I've not done a thing today.. though I am going to strip the childrens beds in a moment.

I've stripped the top bunk and put a new protector and sheet on and got the kids to put their PE kits into the WM (how is Operation PE kit going Valli?)

Going to do HHH now before dinner and DS2 wants to go to Judo.

It's been washed now because he put it in the wash. he got home from school and I asked huim to put his washing inn the basket and he said he had...erm no, there were trousers, his shoes and a shirt on the floor - he cam home in 'pe' kit yesterday so brought uniform home in bag. Then emptied it this morning.

Then he accused ME of getting the stuff OUT of the basket and putting it on his floor!
A definite chip off the old block there - his dad used to throw stupid accusations like that at me ALL the time.
