    Grateful you need this link

My mum phoned - a couple of xmas gifts have been sent to hers to keep them from prying eyes but she has been ransacking the house for the wrapped gift I sent, as she can't remember where she put it. Hardly surprising really, as I haven't sent a wrapped gift for 'safekeeping':rotfl:

  • Hello everyone, not too good today so am just watching a bit of Strictly, and then will listen in to my meeting on the phonelink. Have got the lightbox on, have done some more cushion cover sewing and have started the WM and put away dry washing.

Really really need to wash up today, didn't do any yesterday.

Tea was done and DH was late again. Then my brother turned up, he couldnt stop but stayed 2 hours :rotfl: but it means I missed the X factor. Gutted but I dont see bro very often and he finally brought the plate back that had been signed by everyone at the wedding and had been sent back to be fired to preserve the signatures. Trouble is the person who made it 'moved' the childrens signatures from the centre of the plate to the rim and then painted a stupid bow thing in a gap at the top. I am so !!!!!! off because she has taken away the moment of the day by changing it, it just isnt how it was on the day. Am I overreacting?
I would be very annoyed too, what gives her the right to move things about?
Thanks guys, it says I have the sw flu. But then it would, wouldn't it...
Hugs sweetie, hope you recover quickly

Swinstie hope you are better soon

Boddy you were right to complain, those people should look after your mum properly

    Welcome Candyblue

Big hugs Zoe, hope you are ok soon, take it easy and get lots of rest xx

Grateful - rest, fluids and get your family to look after you

OK, so my piles of clothes have been sorted. Some summer stuff packed up, some more stuff for charity shop, some stuff on the FB swap shop, and the rest tried on and put away. Some stuff I thought wouldn't fit does, so I need to make sure I wear it!

Most of the stuff that's going has been well-worn and used, so I shouldn't feel too guilty about getting rid of it. Anything that fits badly or is stained/damaged is going. Even if it means that I have no gardening clothes :D

Wardrobe in bedroom (still full of summer clothes!) will be next. Then spare room wardrobe...

Off to see whether I can get some stuff out of the house now, then come back for lunch.

zoe ((fluffy hugs)) hope you feel better soon
Kazm watch it on iPlayer, nice that you got to see your bro. I would be annoyed but then I suppose it's something that can not be 'undone' ((hugs)) another talking point?
grateful I think most have figured a cold gets flagged as SF, get yourself rest and fluids, sure whatever it is will fluff off soon x
    juliejim that is amazing!!!
hollyh sorry think I would loose my temper a little, she doesn't deserve to have them at her wedding with an attitude like that!
valli I'd do over 30 after 3 for 2 as they have declined stuff in the past for things like that
boddy that's not on at all, you know from your work what is acceptable. Hope something is done about it & soon x

I am so proud of DS2, he's been helping me loads so far in his room. He is being very brave, parting with all his 'little' stuff (apart from his train sets) so we now have 2 bags of rubbish, 2 boxes of carboot/matthew stuff which is great. He has a few boxes of stuff in his room but it's all boxed, everything off the floor, vacuumed & cleaned. My Thorntons order has ended up next door as I was stuck upstairs (had boxes everywhere & wasn't expecting a delivery being Sunday) so I will get that once I am dressed :o as I've been working in my PJs.

DPs club finishes at 2pm today then it'll be tea & off to Middlesbrough. We managed to get tickets for an automotive art show where Top Gear are filming this weekend :D so I need to make sure school stuff is sorted before we go. Ok back to do a little more sorting through in DS2s room, ttfn xx
One day I might be more organised...........
