Zero ing pump at Fuel station

Try it. You can't use the same credit card more than once at the same chain of pay@pump within 24hours. (Not with Tesco or Asda at least).

You may be correct it possibly would be the credit card company that probably sets the limit, but it's all credit cards! I have many and none will take 2 transactions the same day at the same chain using pay@pump.
Our local Tesco has/had the option of choosing pay@pump or pay@till using the same pump. Card rejected attempting to pay@pump for second time that day, so I selected pay@till and they accepted the same card when I went to pay.

I use shell or morrisons normally so maybe that is why i haven't come accross it!

Our local shell seems to have permanently broken pay at pump at the moment though - I reckon the owner is concerned about missing out on impulse buys!
