Can anyone elighten me as to regulations?

    Yes. Life's too short...
  • I've watched people filling up and often two people can fill up and pay at pump in the time it takes one person to fill up and go in and queue and pay and come back

I also hate the people who fuel their car up, then go and do a bleeding weeks worth of grocery shopping before returing to their car...

Does anyone know why it is only petrol and diesel that is sold by tenths of a penny? You dont see cat food priced at 48.9p?

you could if you could buy it 'loose'
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

Perhaps we should all do that, until the petrol stations realise they are only supposed to sell fuel and maybe the odd nik nak or two. The queues for petrol and customers getting mad and giving up might persuade them to change their business model.

Yup, diesel on the forecourt is messy, not to mention lethal if you're a biker. Always have to be careful at the exits from the petrol station, and the first set of traffic lights, as that's where all the overfill ends up coming out.

On a personal level, don't particularly like purely self service garages, some of us still like to use cash/grab a paper/chat up the babe behind the counter :)

I've always said there should be one till/kiosk for petrol only, and that gets priority, :T

I don't mind buying petrol by self service but the Asda near me only has 2 pumps with "pay at pump" and they're on the opposite side to the petrol cap on my car + they have really short hoses that won't reach to both sides :(

No idea why they don't have it on every pump like Tesco do

i always put it in, wait for the pump to start and the display to reset, then i check and double check the 000,000's and the fuel type just to be sure.

i thought everyone did this, you can never be caaught out like this.
