    Hi Isklar!

Good to hear you sounding so positive! I think lots of people (self included) have felt like you did, to one degree or another, which is why there was such a heartfelt list of suggestions that appeared so quickly in response!

Not wanting to bombard you, but since the thread definitely turned out to be a bit of a brainstorming session, can I add another couple of ideas for further down the line?

One is if one has any health matters, like dental check-ups, smear tests etc outstanding , or minor matters that you are putting up with atm, think about making the appropriate appointments to get them sorted.

The other idea if applicable, is to turn your bedroom into a little sanctuary for yourself to retreat to at the end of the day. Maybe just a clear out, scented candle and fresh bed linen, something to listen to relaxing music on at the end of the day and a space to display some of your beauty products/perfume etc.

I wonder if there are any other posters like yourself who have read the thread, felt encouraged to take some new steps and are feeling a bit better in themeselves for it?

I had a minor junk clear out after reading it, so yes!! And I have been reminding myself to use my face masks, do my nails, brows etc - it's easy to forget to pamper yourself isn't it! :D

So well done to Isklar for starting the thread and all the lovely H&B ladies for the great tips.

Also on the walking - its one of the best fat burning execises you can do so keep at it - if you walk at a pace where you are a bit sweaty and mildly out of breath it does your heart the world of good :D

Good luck on your mission :D

Just a quick update. My skin is looking tons better now that I'm back in a regular routine. I've got lots of different products, I just wasn't in a good routine with it. Anyway, nearly two weeks on it looks much better.
So now my skin is better I'm on the hunt for a new foundation. I'm trying some mineral make up samples (waiting for postie to bring them) and really hope I find a good colour because it's so much cheaper than the foundations that I usually like.

Still noting the suggestions here, thanks again to all of you. It's been so great to read this thread and the great ideas.

*raises hand shyly* Me! :o I feel just like Islar did in her first post. I'm stuck in a rut but she has inspired me to get off my bum and do something about it! Thank you Isklar! And thanks to everyone else who posted their tips and support.

Please keep this thread updated, Isklar.
  • This post has given me a real boost. I had a baby six days ago (so still very early days of course) but after being pregnant for 42 weeks (I was 15 days overdue) I haven't felt good about my appearance for a while. I think I'm going to have a nice long soak, leave bubs with hubby and paint my nails!
