It's a much better day here today, no wind or rain allthough it is cloudy. I will be baking today as LO has asked for some cake and biscuits and I have a dearth of eggs. I also need to clean through later and do the ironing. I have tried to order some xmas presents off Argos this morning and on the website they are all in stock for delivery until I go to pay for them, it then comes back with not in stock

I am still feeling a little shaky today as I spent yesterday closeted on and off in the bathroom due to D + V, no one else seems to have gone down with it thankfully. There is a dose doing the rounds at work so I suspect I caught it there allthough I was careful

Work is great as usual except for the early starts  and the kids are fine - they went swimming with my sister yesterday instead of dog walking as the weather was a little inclement.:rotfl::rotfl:

I do read through daily but my life is very boring at the moment - all big long rounds of cleaning, childminding, washing and ironing and not much else.......... thank you though Donny and others who miss me. I usually end up saying hi at the weekends as that's when anything different tends to be going on and I have more time. Talking of which - Dr Who tonight!! whoo-hoo, we are all looking forward to it. LOL

Gentle hugs to all in need today, I hope the weather has improved all round and you all have a good Sunday.

    Morning all!

The sun has returned to us, yippee! Can someone remind me next time I moan about our weather that at least we don't get storm battered very often!

Waiting for oh to get home from work and then I shall burst into action and cook brekkie, well I shall move anyway! Not sure that he deserves it much, was promised dinner cooked for me last night and a roaring fire and bottle of wine, reality was I ended up cooking and he was glued to Call of Duty on ds's xbox! I decided to tootle off and read my book, he eventually came to find me, picked up a book himself and I fell asleep waiting for him to just finish his chapter! Not quite the evening I'd hoped for lol!

Anyway, os stuff today will involve not a lot, will declutter kids rooms a bit more I think, and may manage to get some of the garage done as it's dry and oh is here to help (stuff is piled so high I'm afraid of being buried in an avalance if I move anything lower down!).

Dinner for the kids will be something quick from the freezer, got some nice sausages so will prob use them and also froze some baked pots last week, so will use them up, few beans and we're away! I shall prob have some of the leftover curry that I made last night, oh can pick either!

Will be trudging up the M4 again later to collect the troops, so a peaceful night in with the telly I think, and a check on the homemade pressie board so that I can get organised with all the bits I need and that the girls need to make stuff!

Have a good day all xx

ps Smoky - not sure my posts are that interesting, but I like reading what everyone else is up to, makes me feel not quite so alone in the continuous round of housework and washing and cooking!

    Morning folks.

Smoky & Bargainbird My life too is one long round of cooking, cleaning, tidying, washing & ironing nono.gif Reading what everyone else is up to also makes me feel less of a drudge!

I'm waiting for the emergency doctors to ring me back as I have a problem of the lady variety. I've been coughing with this cold & something doesn't feel quite right or where it should be  :o:o:o Sorry if TMI I tried to keep it as subtle as possible! No pain, just uncomfortable & stings so I'm doing the usual tidying, washing etc whilst I wait to see what fate has in store sillywink.gif If by any chance I'm taken into hospital (unlikely I think) I'll get DD to post and let everyone know.

Tea is bacon, onion & potato hotpot from The Paupers Cookbook which should be nice as I've not made for ages. Everyone enjoyed the falafel last night apart from DD who has very conservative food tastes and doesn't like anything spicy.

LadyLiberty Thanks for letting us know about Diva we worry when she's not online and starting the thread.

HSarmhugs_9780.gifto all today and especially to those feeling blue, ill or generally not good. Have a good Sunday xxx

DH made me cereal and tea for breakfast and is downstairs cooking up a storm.

I think he is secretly relishing having free reign in the kitchen.

DDs say he has mince, onions, carrot and potatoes in the slow cooker and has just added sausages to it. I can hear a lot of pot and pan clattering downstairs so he might be trying something else as well.

Spent longer than i thought downstairs yesterday evening and it has shattered me so taking it really easy today.

Glad Diva is all right, strange not to see her start the thread.

Hugs to everyone who could do with one.

    Good morning,

I have so far cleaned the kitchen, and downstairs bathroom. I have a chicken in the oven which will make dinner for Grumpy the house elf and I, and then I'll freeze the rest of it in portions for easy dinners mid week here and there.

The elf and I tidied his toy room this morning and put all of his toys back where they belong. Yesterday I sat upstairs while the children played downstairs (the eldest is 13 so it's not like leaving little ones) and listened from afar to the arguing etc while I removed all the non-essential rubbish from my laptop. I now have all the photos of Paul transferred from the computers to a memory stick, which I will lock in the fireproof chest that I've bought, along with the deeds to the house, and all of the letters and cards that Paul and I wrote or sent each other over the years. The other important stuff like birth certificates, marriage certificate and passports can also go in when I've finished showing them to people, sigh!

Sunnygirl fingers crossed that it's nothing too serious, although I'm wanting to cross my legs for you too!

    Take care all of you.

    Hi folks

Not a bad day here today, a weak sun has surfaced and is drying all the soggy patches!

SunnyGirl - hope you are ok!

Beef in ale casserole for us today (we had dinner at friends last evening - roast beef yorkshires, veg - the works. It was lovely). We are having cabbage (Aldi super6 this week - lovely cabbages 29p, you can't go wrong!) and mash with yorkshire puds. Smells lovely.

Went to the farmers market after church this morning but only a handful of stalls there so was a waste of time really.

Rest of day will be spent in wrapping presents, maybe card writing and relaxing in front of fire and tv!

    Have a good day all

Back from the docs now. It is what I thought it was so I've got to sit down as much as poss  and go see my own doc tomorrow who will refer me to gyny. Apparently I will be offered temporary relief tomorrow then see what the plan of action is when I eventually get up to the hospital.

Cranky Thanks for the leg crossing ;) How lovely that you have kept all the cards & letters that you & Paul sent to one another. They must bring back so many memories when you read them again, even though I'm sure it's difficult to do so. You & George are still very much in my prayers & thoughts.
