  • ses6jwg - well said and despite being a supporter of Aldi and Lidl the weaknesses you point out are pretty much spot on. It's the blanket statements that get to me...

I haven't bought meat from a supermarket since the time I bought mince from Asda, with a week on the date, yet the day after I got it, it had gone brown and stank of vinegar, urggh it was rank!

I'll only shop for meat in a butchers now, do you have any butchers local to you Ant?
Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...
  • I don't want to put a dampener on the butcher shopping thing but I have a relative who works in a butchers and I wouldn't eat meat from any butchers after some of the things I've heard. I eat fish but maybe I wouldn't if I knew what went on in a fish shop

Why has MSE recently descended into a bitter and nasty place to vist, with all this name calling?
MSE HAS GONE TO THE !!!!ING DOGS. IS IT ANY WONDER THIS PLACE IS GOING DOWN HILL AND THAT REGULARS TEND TO CONGREGATE AWAY FROM THE PLACE WE ONCE CALLED HOME?

Well said guys - totally agree.

When you have forums without moderators sadly you will get this sort of thing.
  • Tescos had a big push a few years ago putting customer satisfaction as their number 1 priority. (well that's what they said! )
they seemed to abandon that stated policy when they went past the £2 billion yearly profit. now they make £3 billion a year they assume they can stick 2 fingers up to the riff raff. but I do intend to make sure that they'll never see a penny of mine again.
