Kenny_Powers wrote: »I advised you as per the law, whilst the England v Australia game was on Sky Sports 2 HD i took out time to give advice at no cost to you - But because it didn't fit with what you hoped you disregarded it and have now got offensive.
At first i felt sympathy for you, now i realise you are just too stupid to know that when something appears too good to be true it usually is.
I have no doubt an individual of your calibre would have failed the test anyway.
I think the fact that for the sake of £495 you would incriminate others in your plight speaks volumes about the despicable type of person you are.
Yes im frustrated that England threw away a good lead and ultimately got hammered by the Aussies - But ive had enough of morons like you walking through life with your eyes closed and then littering these forums with your bleats for sympathy because you're too bloody stupid to think before you act.
Best of luck getting getting your money back.
I wasnt getting offensive, you told me "the law" regarding the matter. The Law also states your getting 3 to 7 years for Affray, 9 people out of 10 walk, it's straight to court for speeding over 100mph and a massive fine and a ban, I'm yet to meet anyone who has received a driving ban for speeding at 100mph, and I know a few who have been cought. I know people who know of others being prosecuted for having half a Kilo of cocaine and a firearm in the boot, who have served 3 years inside, this in the "book" is over 10 years inside.
I was pointing out that I can't see the "not a leg to stand on" being a valid point due to the situation. But I guess a scum bag working class thicko is what you see and so my upper class solicitor who is just like you will also share your view............maybe I should just curl up and die in my council house ey?? I'm only kidding, but it's easy to say certain things and come to conclusions here on line, a few miss spelt words, and an up front attitude and you have proved the result. Sometimes things arent so cut and shut
You are upper class, but as a lower working class as you'd put me in, upwards of 70K a year every year was easily earnt building, until the "upper class" ruined the banking system, so who got hit first, us scum bags. If you owed out 300K on a mortgage and had 2 kids and 3 cars on lease, how do you think 50 quid a week would do you?? desperate doesn't even touch on it, I hope your never there0 -
Am I reading your message right? Are you saying that you earnt (or had the option to earn) £70K per year for a fair few years? If so why did it not occur to you to put something away for future troubles, a rainy day, a recession...especially if you have/had a large motgage, 2 kids and 3 car loans?
I know hindsight is a wonderful thing but common sense is better.
I apologise if I have misunderstood your post...
I am perfectly sure that you were desperate given the position you found yourself in but that could have been avoided and you wouldn't have been 'vulnerable' to this 'scam' you have got caught up in.
I wish you all the best...being in debt is no fun and I applaud you trying to actually do something about it rather than wallow in self pity....but perhaps a bit of forward planning in future :-)0 -

I saw an advert in the Manchester Evening news for trainee quantity surveyors and project managers with a company called Accepta Realty (american obviously)
That 'company' is about as American as a Chicken Balti. Their website looks absolute crap. It's amazing what some people will be fooled by. Why would anyone hand over any money to get a job? That's not how it works! Quite obviously a scam!
Their head office on google maps doesn't exactly look like the high rise office buildings they have on their website! I think that's the only think they've ever built! :rotfl:Success and failure is determined by effort.0 -
i had an interview there and i was told i could start on the 4th of jan next year i just need to pay the 4995 for the training but tey add an extra 10000 to cover the training cost for 5 years. i was happy to do that.
he said i need to sign a pre contract (never heard that before) but he never got 1 and said he coulddnt find it. the interview was in a house (it was a nice house lol) and had a desk in the front room and a snooker table in the next.
i got home and got a call from a loan company called bently cooper saying i had been approved for a 5000 loan i just need to pay a fee i was going to pay but did not have the funds in my bank. i did some research and it seems bently cooper are conning a lot of people.
i was told i would be a lettings agent whilst training. i have never heard of accepta realty letting out buildings and i looked on the net to try and find some and only found a pub in bolton.
i was not told about a 1 day course or any test. i think they have changed the story they sold you. i still bought it tho. i have not sent any money off yet and am strill unshure about this whole thing.0 -
Matt Jagger, if you're still reading this thread then you can get your money back by taking these rip off merchants to the small claims course.
Just send them a recorded delivery letter entitled "letter before action" stating that 11 hours notice was not sufficient notice to attend the training course that you had paid £495 for, and that as they have been unable to offer you an alternative date, along with the abusive letter they sent on <date>, then you would like a full refund of £495.
Go on to say that you look forward to receiving the money within the next 7 days, and if they fail to refund you, then you will be immediately taking the case to the small claims court.
If they don't cough up the money, just start the small claims court procedure, which costs about £30 online. You stand a very good chance of winning, and they'll have to pay all costs.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
Small claims court, also report them to Trading Standards.0
