Cleaning roasting pans ...

I too have given up on non stick roasting tins, having found black bits of teflon floating in my gravy (yuck!). Now I have a couple of stainless steel roasting tins which come up as good as new after a quick scrub with a spontex metal scrubber thingy. They are the best thing ever for getting roasting tins, grill pans, oven shelves etc clean. I also like Astonish oven cleaner (comes in a blue tub, lasts ages).0

When you've taken the meat out of the tin, add about an inch of water and put it on the hob to boil.
I do this but add one or two drops of W/up liquid and it's easy peasy to clean......it doesn't get a chance to dry on horrid :-/ ;D0 -

Lucie ... can you please let me know where you purchased your stainless steel roasting tins from (if you can remember ::)). I've found one on the Internet, but it retails at £99!! Perhaps ebay would be a good bet ???
I don't remember ever having seen any of these, but I do have a set of stainless steel saucepans, which are great.
Thanks.

I don't think that they're stainless steel but I've seen those heavy duty roasters in Ikea (the type Jamie Oliver uses with handles either side).Just run, run and keep on running!0

Mine are Ikea ones. I've got 2 little ones (fit side by side on a shelf), but am planning to get a big one next time I go to Ikea. They really are pretty good for 6-7 quid.0
