You were saying GD, looks like a huge difference between Phones4u and the mobiles.co.uk scummy operation ;)

I agree. They have sorted it out without a fuss and hats off to them. They have what seems to be a decent customer service department

I have no problem in being objective and acknowledging good/bad service on a case by case basis. So I can accept that some people have had good service from CPW companies, such as mobiles.co.uk, as well, although others have had a pretty bad experience. But the laws of business competition surely dictate that if mobiles.co.uk messed up on all their internet deals - or even a large proportion - then they would go out of business. You don't want to make the mistake of assuming that the high proportion of unhappy tales on the forum reflects the same percentage in totality, otherwise they will be bust within the year.
  • They wouldn't be. E2Save became totally appalling on a wide scale but survived and thrived. If there were a fraction as many people with nasty experiences with the phjones4u sites they would have appeared months ago. There aren't. When you actually use these companies fairly frequently the difference is HUGE. Login doesn't enter into this sometimes or you might have a point. Cpw only has one main competitor and that allows them scope to stop worrying about their customers. Like many juggernauts, by the time they find out there is a price to pay it's too late. As long as their name is large enough and people give them the benefit of the doubt there will always be a stream of new customers willing to take a chance.

    Hello,

I need some help with my o2 contract ive got through Phones4u

Bascially i upgraded my o2 account with them becasue they were offering unlimited internet free on my phone.

I have just had my first bill for £63 instead on basic £35.

I have £17 in interent charges.

I went into o2 who rang o2 to find out what was going on as my contract states FOC internet

o2 replied with 'we do not do free interent so we have cancelled it, the customer has to have a bolt on and pay for that'

P4U guy then rang his customer services to find out why they have the contract available.

I left soon after becasue he couldnt get through and was going to keep trying. i will ring/visit them tomorrow for update.

As it stands i think i have two options. Either P4U pay for the bolt on each month or they void my contract and i go else where.

I want to know where i stand with regards to cancelling/voiding it if it comes to this as I feel they have sold me a contract which doesnt exist.

    Many thanks

    That bit made me laugh!
