Hello,

I need some help with my o2 contract ive got through Phones4u

Bascially i upgraded my o2 account with them becasue they were offering unlimited internet free on my phone.

I have just had my first bill for £63 instead on basic £35.

I have £17 in interent charges.

I went into o2 who rang o2 to find out what was going on as my contract states FOC internet

o2 replied with 'we do not do free interent so we have cancelled it, the customer has to have a bolt on and pay for that'

P4U guy then rang his customer services to find out why they have the contract available.

I left soon after becasue he couldnt get through and was going to keep trying. i will ring/visit them tomorrow for update.

As it stands i think i have two options. Either P4U pay for the bolt on each month or they void my contract and i go else where.

I want to know where i stand with regards to cancelling/voiding it if it comes to this as I feel they have sold me a contract which doesnt exist.

Many thanks

    I took a £35 pm o2 35

    18 month

    600 mins

    500 texts

and free unlimited internet ( this was the main reason I took a drop in mins and texts, becasue it was offered free )

Is this contract on an iPhone? If you are paying £35 a month you should have a choice of a free bolt on, one of which includes unlimited internet (not sure if you get a choice through a third party but you do direct with O2).

    No its a Samsung Jet.

Never got this option so assume its not through 3rd party.
  • A £35/mth O2 tariff, has a free bolt on, iPhone or not. You just need to ask for your free bolt on to be the unlimited web. If P4U didn't sort it out correctly, tell them you want them to pay the difference.

You do realise you will be giving Mobilejunkie palpitations as this is NOT mobiles.co.uk messing things up and, instead, his favourite mobile seller??? ;)

Go back to phones4U and get them to phone dealer support, this is one of their upgrade tariffs and is something you should have.

Hardly. I never recommend upgrades through anyone (which should you know me as well as you suppose would be evident). Further, I have always made a point of saying that Phones4U shops have a terrible reputation. My - concern is with website orders and service - and (yet again) that has been exemplary (which I think you also know).

You were saying GD, looks like a huge difference between Phones4u and the mobiles.co.uk scummy operation ;)
It's not just about the money
