House price drop indicates 'double-dip' for property market

Traditionally, the spring bounce refers to the increase in potential buyers looking for a house and sellers looking to sell. It's just that time of the year when transactions increase.
And conversley, the "winter drop" does not mean that all of a sudden prices fall, but transactions fall.
Does it not occur to you that when there is an increase and decrease in transactions, that this correlates to the amount of competition for properties and thus price changes reflect the difference in competition for them.
If there is not a change throughout the year, why are indexes seasonally adjusted if not to compensate for "spring bounces" and "winter drops"?:wall:
What we've got here is....... failure to communicate.
