Holy !!!! it's expensive here, then. Thanks for the response, would a meter effect my sewerage charge as well as the water cost (despite both being from separate companies)?

Yes you pay £x for each cubic metre of water and £y for the same amount(less 5% to10%) of sewerage -plus a smallish standing charge for each.

If a meter can't be fitted(sometimes the case with flats) you get an assessed charge.

and increases for SW will be the highest in the country ie average £40 pa, from april and I thought wessex water was expensive!

I should think so, my bills for a metered bedsit in Mudeford are £84.96 for the past year. Sure the bills are for a month, not quarter, six months or whatever?

They are not on a meter so the bill is based on RV which is a fixed price rather then based on consumption.
