I thought the big black one was a tosa (didn't quite catch the word properly) owned by the woman who helped supervise when the pups were born. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -

They were discussing him just as I'd turned over so I assumed he was dad but of course I could be wrong and don't recall them specifically saying he was. Perhaps someone who saw it all could tell us what part he had to play in the programme.“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -
Mutter please stop the insults. Its unkind and uncalled for.
Thankyou

The womans son's dog (Flint) was the father of the pups. The imported dog that would apparently go for men or kids, was a "guard dog" for the woman who helped deliver the pups. Why you would keep a dog knowing it would attack men/women/children is beyond me, she even said that in Summer all the doors are open, wouldn't take much for it to escape!
The guy who didn't want to be labelled as a petty thief was disgusting, he should never of got that dog, the poor thing. And he even joked about getting his £25 back. Can't believe he said that £30 is a lot of money when you don't have it, but he says hes been at the pub and he smokes. Could of found the money. Or if they were on benefits, got it done for free I'm sure.0 -

He was a Cane Corso Mastiff, imported from US. Yet another dog who's reputation has sadly been ruined by those who want them to be regarded as aggressive, such as the woman in the programme “You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -
thanks Buttonmoons - was Flint a staffie? I think I saw him at some point in the programme0

I'm fairly sure it was just because the woman who owned him (nicknamed pitbull!) was explaining how many staffs she'd had in the past and that she liked them partly because of the macho look. She then went on to say that the black whatever it was she had now was for security reasons, because she was concerned about her safety when she went out in that area whereas all the neighbours knew the dog was a psycho and she felt a lot safer.
Thinking about it I think it was another staff or staff X that was the dad because I think one of the pups went to the owner for services rendered.
Edit - cross posted, I don't type fast enough! All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Yeah I think so, not sure why they are called Staffy cross' though, they didn't looked crossed with anything to me, but then I'm not exactly knowledgeable about them. They had some gorgeous colours, the pups, I've never seen a staff that shade of gold/brown before.0 -
I thought they were very pretty too - did you see the woman's reaction to the email that asked about the specific screening for health conditions that should have been done... "I don't know what the f*** they are talking about!!"0

Yeah!! Mind you, it was probably some scammer or something, because they were wanting a pup shipped to America. You can get SBT over there can't you?
I just think the show proved what type of people go for SBT, and clearly state they are status symbols, hard man dogs, protection etc. It's no wonder they have a bad reputation with people.
I live in an area FULL of staffys, no-one picks up their poop either which makes me mad. I've seen some horrible things, they don't actually care about the dogs either, it's glaringly obvious. Poor things.0
