....A couple sat chatting all the way through the film; why do people go to the cinema to chat

It's so annoying: we went to a concert on Saturday and there were people talking all the way through it, even through the quieter songs

Well, I'm late here wishing you good morning today. My wrinkies have gone home, I collected them from the airport yesterday. They're back a week tomorrow for the weekend for ds's first concert with the LYPO. Bought the tickets today.

I wish I could say I was late here because I've been having a productive time. Not true. I'm really tired. I don't know if it's the SAD or the medication or what. I'm just tired and finding it hard to get up in the morning.

What is there to report? Trying to keep up with housework and general stuff. Memory tends not to be very good through the winter, so I try and deal with bills etc when they come in. I've just got a whiteboard for an ongoing jobs list as a constant reminder of what is urgent and what I need to do for other people.

It's dh's short (4 day) week this week so he'll be home tonight. Next week is 5 day. They're establishing the Ts & Cs for this job away and at first it looked rather grim. At the moment on presentation of receipts, but from the week after next on a flat rate for transport and subsistence. Hoping he can lodge with my parents in which case for the inconvenience of a 40 min drive each way he will be able to save some of the money. Every little helps.

I'm adjusting to life with ds here on our own for part of the week, but just as things settle down the Christmas hols will be upon us and dd will be home.

I should get a couple of things done now before work. OR maybe set the alarm and have a kip!

    Have a good day everyone.

The first frost will probably splatter them - it's been very very dry this season so this is the first chance they've had to appear, but as soon as it gets cold, that normally gets rid of them.

This site is quite useful for trying to work out what they are

    Afternoon all,

The heavens opened here last night and it has now just stopped...we are high up so no flooding except for what is flowing down the yard to the road...poor Kerry was sitting under a bush to try to keep an eye on the road and the cars invading it.

Diva glad to hear that Tris is still battling on, he must be really strong not to have just closed his eyes and slipped away.

Celyn...good luck to OH for his interview.

Sunflower...hope that you enjoyed your haslet...haven't seen or heard of it for ages, used to like it.

Congratulations to those of you who have made your Christmas cakes, I used to make mine in October, then everybody except me seemed to stop eating it, so have just made a lighter fruit cake for the past few years, last year OH ate lots so should make it soon...maybe at the weekend....

Need to do some on-line banking to-day...bit of a chore as I need to change payments into 2 of OH's account and have to include iban number as they are not coming from within the euro zone...number is so bloomin' long that I have to be sure to get it correct.

Some washing done, more to do, can see all clothes airers being in use.

Hugs to all in need or want, especially to Jayne and George.

    :hello:

Wave hello to everybody. I have been in hospital for a week and just got home so OS will be gentle for quite a while.

DH put his foot down last Thursday when it hurt to breathe and took me to A and E. I had an x ray and expected antibiotics- what I did not expect was stomach injections as I might have a blood clot in my lungs:eek:

Several tests later and a C and T scan I found out I had a blood clot and pneumonia in both lungs. Still on warfarin and antibiotics so have gone upstairs for a nap before making a healthy tea later for us all.

DDs and DH are insisting I rest so taking them up on it.

DH has been fantastic and cannot get over having done the right thing, bless him!;)

    Gentle hug to everyone.

    Hester

    Hi all.

Swift post; off to either Mr T or Mr M in a few mins, as Mr LW is working from home today and finishing at 15:30.

Been MIA due to a major crisis of confidence, but hopefully getting back on track now. Many thanks to the folks who have posted supportive messages.

Have been lurking here, but I'm afraid I've not really absorbed a great deal of what I've read.

Anyway, gotta go (shopping list not yet complete:eek:)
Hope to be able to post tomorrow.:o

((((HUGS)))) to all who want/need one today.
