    Morning all :hello:

MSD - Glad to hear Tris is online. At least if he is complaining about his pain, you know he's well enough to do that IYSWIM?
Sunnygirl - Hope you feel better soon

I have finally compiled the family's Christmas lists on a new wizzy spreadsheet and sent it all round. We're extremely late in doing this this year, I normally like to have my shopping down by the end of October, but with the house move I've been distracted and typically the family have just waited for me to sort it  It's a very good spreadsheet though - I must've spent at least 2 hours feeling smug exclusively about it :p Am going shopping with my Mum on Saturday morning so will pick up the bits that it's not cheaper to get online and I need some kilner jars as I want to give these http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/2920/christmas-muffin-mix as gifts too.

Lunch today is leftover risotto for me and l/o chilli & wraps for DH. Tea tonight is probably going to be egg, chips & beans on account of having to do the dreaded Tesco shop tonight!!

Have a lovely day all, huggles to all especially those poorly sick :grouphug:

    xx

We're off later to collect 3 sleeping bags from freecycle(for my doggies:D) then into town to buy some things to help DS1 out in his first flat - mainly kitchen things. The house is clean and tidy - washing hanging on airer.
I'm off to clean at mums soon before Dh gets home from work.

have a great day all x

Finally feeling a little more normal this morning. It is my day off too so I will have chance to recover fully before going back to work on friday.:D

I have an appt at the hospital this morning at 11.30 so that will take up most of the day - it is the other side of town so with travelling will probably take about 3-4 hours in total. Hopefully I might hear when I am going to have my op

I will have to call at the library either before or after as my books were due back yest and I forgot with feeling so rough so will have a fine to pay now:mad: Ah well can't be helped.

Diva glad Tris is back on line, hope his pain eases.
SunnyGirl glad to hear you are feeling better too.
Molly glad your DD had such a good time and returned safely too - it is so maddening when some taxi drivers do that just because they are young. Luckily it is the minority who take advantage.
Redruby hope your OH recovers quickly. We are in the same position as my OH doesn't get paid either if he is off sick and it is strange how your heart sinks when they are ill!
Hester had to laugh at your friend taking the side of the bath off - how resourceful!

Right need to get some bits done before I go to the hospital. Have a good day everyone

  • Hi all

About to go to hairdressers shortly to get my hair sorted....I washed it yesterday and didnt straighten in as I know I was getting colour done today...woke up like Jamie afro this morning:eek:;):o my hair is down to the middle of my back and it was all sticking up curls, have had to put gel and clips in to calm it down:rotfl:
It is 3 years today since I met OH....not that we are going out tonight or anything to celebrate but I am making a bit of a meal later and spending some chill out time together.
I have a huge pile of ironing to do this afternoon again.
i am another one whose OH doesnt get paid when he is ill...I dread his migraines as just a couple of days a month can set us right back:rolleyes: .
Did online shop yesterday for next week and came in at £46 inc delivery so am chuffed with that.
Am still searching for cheapest PS3 for DS for xmas.....they have them at Sainsburys apparently for £199 which is £50 off until 17th Nov but none in stock at the mo:rolleyes:
    Well better get moving
    have good days all

    Morning all!

Thought with the kids being back that my routine would return to normal, but have had oh here most of the time between his shifts, so have been taking advantage (do not insert any smutty comments here!), so far we have done assorted house bits and started to clear the garage of doom! I swear that the men at the tip were convinced we were professional house emptiers, still have tons of stuff to go, unfort oh is out playing golf today so won't be able to crack the whip, and I also have two icky children off school - think it is due to phlegm that they were sick rather than anything more serious.

OS stuff is going to involve cleaning and tidying round, S&S the kitchen when dd2 has got on and done the pots she should've done last night after dinner! Will also have another bash at the garage and see how far I get, the tip is on the way to the supermarket and I need to pop there for medicines and pet stuff.

Ordered some bits from www.fragrancedirect.com yesterday and it's arrived today, dd1 has requested some dkny perfume for Chrimbo and they had it for £12.99 - absolute bargain! Been browsing online for more Chrimbo stuff today, so much easier than fighting in the shops!

Hope everyone has a good day, hugs where needed, will be back for a catch up when I've done some jobs! xxx

The first frost will probably splatter them - it's been very very dry this season so this is the first chance they've had to appear, but as soon as it gets cold, that normally gets rid of them.

This site is quite useful for trying to work out what they are

  • Another grey day here in Derbyshire. I'd love a bit of sunshine; not necessarily warmth but just a bit of blue sky.

Hopefully an NSD for me today as I shan't be leaving the house although I do want to get a bit of online Christmas shopping done. I'm trying to decide whether to buy a doll and make it some clothes for my niece. She's only little and I'm sure it'll be appreciated but then what if I don;t get them done by Christmas - a cold naked dolly!

The washer's on and the fires are lit so I should be able to get it dry without having to tumble it. I don't like the dryer but it seems to be a necessary evil.

Lunch today is going to be haslet and black pudding that my Mum is bringing from the butchers. I've had all sorts of strange cravings since the chemo started and while people will fetch things for me on a whim I'm going to make the most of it ;)

Tea tonight will be either steak, chips, fried eggs and mushy peas or possibly steamed salmon and potatoes. Couldn't be more of a gap between healthy / unhealthy there could there :D

Last night we went to see Michaels Jacksons This Is It and it made me realise just how amazing the man was. We were due to be going to the 02 to see him on what will now be the last day of my chemo so we wouldn't have been able to go anyway. A couple sat chatting all the way through the film; why do people go to the cinema to chat
