Am really struggling for ideas for DD this year, she's not really into anything as such, she's not one for toys, but loves books, but there are only so many books she can have!Tigz...as someone who loves books, you can never have too many books...
Tig, I agree with Sammy although could you not make a book lovers basket or something? Including book vouchers, bookmarks, a mug, sweets, slippers, a book, hot choc sachets etc etc. Then she can choose her own books and still have something nice to open/use on the day. I would have loved something like that when I was younger

Okay so there's a thread on the relationships and families board about the engagement ring this guy is buying - £3,500 - I cant decide if its completely crazy to spend that on a piece of jewelery or the most romantic and sweet thing ever...I guess it depends if you can afford it but £3,500 :eek:0 -

I know Lou but it isnt just a waste of money really, at the end of the day and if you spend £3,500 on a ring what is the wedding going to cost
(I am romantic really and I LOVE diamonds but still owning something that expensive would scare the crud out of me!)0
