Winnie The Pooh Hat & Mittens - Help please...

Options
Happy New Year all....

Our little Katrina (5 mths old) was bought a wonderful Winnie the Pooh Hat and Mittens set for Christmas however the friend has bought the mittens at the wrong size - this would mean she would be wearing them through the summer!!!! (Knowing the British weather it may happen!!!)

We don't want to offend the friend by asking so have tried looking round to see if we can find them to swap over - no luck yet.....

The mittens are bright "Pooh" yellow with Pooh Bear's face on the back of the hand - the thumb piece is seperate to the finger piece (remember they're a mitten). They have two tags on i) "AntiPilling Fleece" and ii) "Disney Baby" - unfortunately there's no bar code so we can't take them into a shop to see if they scan.

If anybody has seen these can they post - Thanks in Advance.......
What should I put in here that won't upset people.........

Hi...haven't seen these exact items as wasn't looking at baby stuff specifically, however I think I saw Next selling Winnie the Pooh stuff, and Boots as well.

You might save a bit of shoe leather by having a look at their websites....just a suggestion....

I'm sure your friends won't be offended if you ask them where you could get the mittens exchanged. You obviously really like the gift and want your little girl to wear them right away...so that's a compliment to my mind. They might offer to exchange them for you if they still have the receipt.

Whatever happens I hope your little girls hands stay warm.

Marks and Spencer's did those I think - but they'd be labelled wouldn't they?

Woolworths had something similair to this in too, probably your friend removed the lable/barcode because it also displayed the price, but isn't there a lable inside any of these items, with wash instructios etc they are sometimes recognisable/different from shop to shop, and someone might know where they were from

  • As previously posted Tesco do a Winnie the Pooh range, I know because I bought most of it for my unborn grandson. I bought him Winnie vests, babygros, hat, mits, blanket, bibs and a suit.

If you do not want to offend the friend then phone her raving about how great the gloves are and say you want to buy a pair for a relative - so where did she get them.

    Hi All

Thanks for the suggestions - we tried Tescos last night - no luck there - also we hadn't seen them in the run up to Christmas (and our store does have a big selection of clothing being an Extra).....

Will check Woollies out and will probably do Elona's suggestion !!!!

    Cheers All...............

I haven't an answer to your question but on a similar vein we had a kind hearted aunt purchase our 5 week old a nice fleecy xmas sleepsuit in size 6-9months, oh those cold christmassy nights between June and August, she'd removed all tags/labels you name it, I'm surprised the outfit even escaped unscathed ::)

I saw Winnie the Pooh hat and mittens in Sainsbury's the other day but I didn't stop to look in detail as my children are grown. I just remember thinking how cute they look!
    Worth phoning them maybe? :)
