Advice Needed - Traffic Warden Gave Me A Ticket - Digit Wrong On Reg Number
Comments

If they haven't got the right reg they won't have your address, so I'd take a chance on never hearing from them.
They are supposed to write to the registered owner after 28 days asking for payment.
On the point of colour, got a ticket with 'other' as the colour (its a cross between light blue/silver) so would that be grounds for dispute?0 -
Bobtoo love your comments but they are wrong or maybe misguided, as for the ticket its what is known as spoilt and an incorrect registration number is end of story as far as the ticket is concerned. It has been issued to possibly a vehicle that doesn't exist or on that VRM comes back to something completely different. One nil to the driver, just a point of interest though,i'm not a traffic warden but have noticed at times that they record the tax disc number, but i don't know if that is done in all cases. But i would willingly stake a pound on it that on this occassion you have had a result and the ticket is void.0

Thanks to everyone that has replied to this post. I chose to ignore the ticket, and to date no correspondence has been received. Ticket was issued 2nd June, so its been about 6 weeks ago. dont think i'm likely to hear from them so looks like ive got away with it. I will post update on this thread if I do hear anything, but dont know how they can possibly find me with a wrong reg no.
On a final note, its just as well as the wardens attitude was so cocky and rude, so hope he gets his hands slapped for not doing his job right.0 -
Six weeks isnt that long yet but i had a ticket on 4/5/06 and still haven't recieved a notice to the registered keeper. From what I can gather they would need to send it within 6 months tops to have any chance of getting money off of you.0

Who employed you and how much were you fined for spoiling a ticket.0
