Some advice - Baby related.

So sad for this girl, I could hardly manage to get my teeth brushed and out the door for 9 o clock when my DD was 5 months, never mind having to deal with all she has had, and going to school. I really admire you for sticking by her when she obviously needs support, I would echo sure start, free cycle and churches for freebies (might be worth looking into a toy library as they often have baby equipment you can hire for about 50p a week rather than buy it if you can't get free iyswim.)
She will be in my thoughts and wish there was something I could do. Good luck to her and her baby, and hope you manage to get her sorted out asap.0 -
Her Health Visitor is another possible source of support and may be able to help with emergency needs, or signpost to those who can.
Salvation Army?
Not knowing where she's living, but if it's a social landlord (housing association or council) then they may also be able to offer pointers.Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
I have no real advice to add but I just wanted to say that you sound like an amazing teacher. Your students are lucky to have youThere are many things in life that will catch your eye, only a few will catch your heart. Pursue those.0

Just wanted to echo what the previous poster said, what a lovely, thoughtful, caring teacher you are. I had my daughter at 15 and my teachers didnt want to know me0

I would contact your local connexions or see your rep in school, they are really good in situations like this.0

If my daughter was a month or two older I'd send you all the stuff she'd outgrow but she's the same age so unless it's a small baby I guess stuff she's outgrown will be too small for this baby too?
However if she still fits size 3-6 month let me know! I have loads of clothes that size
I have misex feelings about it - I think it's wrong for a girl that age to have a child, but at the end of the day the baby is here, and it and she both need looking after and well done you and the other teachers for being supportive and caring and trying to help her until all the official help things come into play
Definitely get the local coppers to go round with her to pick up her things and the baby's things from her house - that her parents (or whoever is responsible for her) would refuse her her things or kick her out etc is beyond me... whatever my daughter does in the future, no matter how much I disagree with it - she's my daughter and I would never be able to do that to herAnd that someone could makes me incredibly sad...
