Can she not go to the police and have an escort with her to get her stuff?

This ^^^ The police are usually quite helpful in cases such as this, and it's doubtful the guardian would refuse entry to the police.

Have you looked in charity shops? Or are you/her likely to know anyone who has children who can give her some of their old clothes?

And this might be a help also, especially if she gets her crisis loan through.

I don't think I'll be much help but how nice to read of a teacher who really cares. I'd echo freecycle, or I even wondered about car boot sales, not many on but if you are still stuck at the weekend may be worth a try. Have you tried asking office staff, lunch staff etc, surely someone knows someone with baby stuff just sat there.

Best of luck with your hunt & I hope all works out with your student, off topic but I can remember the teachers who went out of there way for me at school, it means a lot many years later.

Could someone from school get to the local charity shop first thing Tomorrow (Wednesday) ?
Should be enough baby and teenage stuff there to kit them out for a couple of weeks to keep them going until the dust settles.
.................:)....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)
  • I've just had a huge sort out of my little girls old clothes and toys. They are all bagged up ready for a charity shop but it they're any use to her, your more than welcome to them.

I live near Ferrybridge so I'm not that far away and happy to meet somewhere with them if needed.
