Stormy wrote:OMG just when I thought it could get no worse, I get an email today which is giving me a warm welcome to British Gas for my Gas! !!!!!!? I have not applied for Gas, I am still considering ditching the Electricity.
I tried calling them only to be fobbed off with I need to call back tomorrow, dear god. Can I call Southern Electric (my current supplier through Ebico) and stress in no uncertain terms NOT to accept a transfer request from BG?
BG don't seem bloody interested..
Yes, call Southern they will block the transfer for you - as long as it isn't too late.0 -
I have called Southern Electric who say they will monitor my account and block any approach from BG.0

After moving house, I set up an account with BG and then put in a conversion application for Click Energy just over 2 weeks ago. Supposedly, everything should have been up and running within 48 hours, yet surprise surprise I've heard nothing since. I've had no response to my e-mails, so I guess I will have to subject myself to another mindnumbing half hour in their callcentre queue. :wall:
Has anyone got anywhere setting up a Click Energy account?0 -
Well, I set the wheels in motion at the beginning of thiis month to transfer from npooer! and they said the transfer would complete on 30th June. Yesterday I had to submit a meter reading so I guess (touch wood) that all is well?0

Click Energy accounts are still not available online, even though my supply transferred at the end of May I am still seeing "registration in progress" when logging into my accounts.0 -
I've just been on the phone with house.co.uk - simply asking for password reset
Also told them that I was switching supplier... and was encouraged to consider their click energy
Just gonna do some research on it now (but have already used Martin's recommended comparison tools before deciding to switch)
thanks all for the heads up on click being rather rubbish (it is still Brit Gas at the end of the day!)0 -
Well as of last week my Click Energy account is actually working online, not sure I am gonna stick around long. Although it will be interesting if my £15 and £35 online sign up incentive when I first used house.co.uk will be honoured.
I seriously doubt it will.. .but I am tempted to wait for the first bill before switching away from the nightmare which is BG....0 -
Is there a minimum time you have to stay with them, because if things are as bad as you say, I'll be off as well!0
-
Well I'm still getting nowhere with them. It's been just under a month since I submitted my opening meter readings and as far as I'm able to summise, I'm still being billed on the standard tariff. My registration doesn't even show up as 'in progress' when I try to log in to click energy.
My e-mails to house and clickenergy.co.uk have been totally ignored and I have been passed from person to person at their call centre without anyone knowing what's going on.
In the end, after the price rise that came into effect on the 1st July, their prices aren't that much cheaper in my area anymore. I think I'll give them until the end of this week to get back to me, then switch to someone else. The hassle of continually chasing this just isn't worth it. :rolleyes:0 -
BG in general are just rubbish
speaking to a guy from house, chasing my paperless billing discounts for the last 2 years(!)... tells me that it's been paid and points me to a bill which was addressed to "the occupier" before my account started!0
