Was just getting excited, and then I looked at the small print

This offer excludes their Poole and Portsmouth branches... which is a shame as Portsmouth is my closest branch!!

P.S - It seems Andrea (admin) has added this to the original post now - thanks
What shall I put here?

I'd be interested to know that as well, please. Going with a non fish eater and a vegetarian, it would help to know in advance that they could find something on the set menu to suit them
There is one in town but I've never been and this sounds like a good time to try it out.0 -
My Wife and I went to the Norwich one yesterday for lunch. On the set menu there were non-fish options on the starter course but not on the main course. You have to remember that it is primarily a fish restaurant though.
I had chicken liver terrine as a starter and the missus had some wild mushroom and onion soup. There was also Calamari.
For the main course, I had grilled sardines in a garlic and herb butter with a tomato and basil salad. The missus had red mullet fillets with green pesto and new potatoes. Also available was sea bream and grey mullet.
All rounded of with a nice glass of muscadet and all for a tenner each. Very nice, thanks to "theloft" for the original post.
FYI, the regular price for a set menu is £10 without wine. The offer gives you a standard set menu but throws in the wine for free. The glass of wine would normally cost £3.30 so that's how much you the offer is worth.0 -
Wow thanks for this, I may take OH there next week for his birthday as he loves fish. Can anyone tell me if it's possible to have a main course and a dessert rather than a starter and a main course on the offer? Also, if anyone else minds posting what kinds of main course they were able to order from the set menu I'd be very grateful!

We thought that might be the case but it wasn't.
Thinking about it, if you were to order a main and dessert, the restaurant won't be able to flog you anything else after that (except perhaps a coffee) but if they give you a starter and a main, you might just be tempted to order a seperate dessert afterwards and they make an extra sale.0 -

So did I. The 'original' one is very good though."The happiest of people don't necessarily have the
best of everything; they just make the best
of everything that comes along their way."

rebeccaJ - my wife is also vegetarian and they will allow you to choose a vegetarian option from the menu - but they are fish restaurants, so your non-fish eater would have to have veggie as well.rebeccaj wrote:I'd be interested to know that as well, please.
