I hope the rumours come true and that Alan Titchmarsh is coming back to present GW.

Since Monty Don had to leave, the programme has gone down hill and the format is awful and sorry to say, the main presenter isn't inspiring me I don't look forward to watching like I used to. It used to be a favourite on Fridays.

She is, so is Toby, just not good at presenting. Alice used to be behind the scenes I think in past programmes. And poor Carol has been sidelined. I love her Devon garden but I want to see more of her in the GW garden.
Maybe it's just the format, but I am still hoping for a change. Back to basics for me;)

Got to agree with OP, I've stopped watching it.

I like all the presenters, but I dont think they are working to their strengths. Far too many reports, wacky ideas (I like alice, but some ideas are a little strange) and more focus on the greenacre garden would be good.

Brick layering isn't her strong point. :rotfl:

Now mercifully off our screens until the New Year, this former stalwart of the television schedule is a bland shadow of its former self.

Alys Fowler is the joker in the pack. Her clever little asides are usually lost on Buckland but the smart money is increasingly on her to take a more prominent role in future.

I just wish they'd reincarnate Geoff Hamilton or Geoffrey Smith. The show started its slide downhll for me when Titchmarsh took over and has been unwatchable since.

I am with you on this one.

I had the (dis)pleasure of meeting Monty Don at a book signing in Selfridges, London about 12 years ago. He was possibly the rudest man I have ever met. If I hadn't already paid for his book before he signed it - I would have swiped him with it! It was clear he didn't want to be there and have to talk to the common public. Horrible man.

Geoff Hamilton was always going to be a tough act to follow.
:D Thanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!:D

I agree with the OP, it certainly seems to me that it has dumbed down. I stopped watching months ago,
Mortgage free as of 10/02/2015. Every brick and blade of grass belongs to meeeee. :j
