Celyn, you are such a talented cake maker/decorator, that cake is fab, and I've seen other pics on here before of previous cakes you've done. I'm very jealous!

I have whipped up some fairy cakes, which I've iced and topped with chocolate sprinkle things. Have cooked the mini pizzas that were requested, and chopped up squares of cheese, and cucumber and carrot sticks. Just need to cook the sausage rolls now and I'm done.

    Hi Everyone

DG and Mr DG - Happy Anniversary
    Celyn Wow that is fantastic:T

Freezing here today, I am not at work today as have been up most of the night with D & V (well mostly D - IYKWIM) and it has continued into today with terrible stomach gripes and feeling ropey. So I am cuddled up on the couch with my quilt and a pillow! OH is suffering with it slightly too, so seems we might have picked up some sort of bug - which is quite easy with working in a Docs!!

So not much OS going on other than HM freezer ready meal being called in play as I am not up to cooking/eating today.

    OK must run!!!!!!!

    Afternoon all!

No rain today so hoping to get washing dry outside. Dinner will be spag bol I think as its nice and easy.

Happy anniversary DG and Mr DG

    Celyn...that cake is amazing.

Kerry is in the doghouse this morning as she grabbed OH's trousers and tore a large hole in leg.....another pair of shorts for next year methinks.

Still trying to clear out rubbish and find places for the things we need to keep...I hate it.

Hugs to all in need or want

  • Good afternoon Chums,
sorry for being a bit late on parade today.Did the school run this morning then my sis-in-law arrived from Faversham for lunch and a chinwag, and she's only just gone.
DGS popped his head around the door at 1.30.p.m. on his way to London for his second interview at Endamol, I have got my fingers crossed I do hope he gets it. Going to take the rest of the day off, and watch some catch-up t.v. as its dark and gloomy outside, and I feel like snuggling down under my knitted blanket and doing nothing for awhile.I have got enough cakes left in the tin for when Danny gets back from his interview.
Hope everyone has a good day.Winter really is settling in now as its very nippy.
    Cheers Chums

Just got in from work, so an early finish for me, finally managed to find out name of child who regularly calls me a smelly cow & reported him, hooray.
Also found out name of child who informs me I cannot tell him off as women are worthless in his country, turns out I know Mum, she'll be horrified, they are British & he's just trying to be difficult, so that's his card marked.
Discovered I'm working an 11 hour day on Friday, think I'll spend Saturday in bed!
Great cake Cel, hugs to those in need.

    Hi Guys!

I'm still here and thanks for asking and for the lovely PM's. I have alot going on ATM and my health is still not great. Went into hospital for 2 nights last week, but dont really want to go into it. My hair is so thin and feel down about that...I generally just feel fed up. Trying to keep positive but cant see a light at the end of the tunnel yet:confused:I'm 35 and feel like I should be in the knackers yard:o

Sorry, dont want to bring the thread down.

    I have been reading though.

OS has been okay as I havent been able to get out much. Have done a few different dinners as OH has picked up some bargains. Saturday we had Spagbol, Sunday we had Roast Chicken, last night we had Sausage Cassarole and tonight we have had an Organic quiche (reduced) with new pots (TTD to 20p), sweetcorn and carrots.....yummy.

The cleaner came last week but she didnt do our room as I was in bed as I couldnt get out of bed...embarrasing! House has been top and tailed each day and trying to keep on top of the washing. I asked the cleaner to do the ironing this week as Ive had alot of appointments and OH is very tired.

DD needed a jumper because its getting cold and her bust is getting bigger but they have been put up to £24 each...disgusting, so I contacted the PA member who does the shop and she has put 2 to one side and 2 blouses that DD needs. I am hoping that a good wash will be fine.

    Happy Anniversary DG.

Hugs and kisses to everyone else.

Hi Penny_Pincher! sorry you are feeling so rough but it's really nice to see you posting! Everyone is thinking of you. I'm glad you've managed to get DD's jumpers and blouses put by. How on earth the retail shop can justify £24 I can't imagine

jackieO - Hope Danny is successful!

    Celyn - Amazing cake:beer:

    (((HUGS))) to everyone xx
  • Evening all

I had a nighmare day at work :( my young people would not work together as a team. We are building a sensory garden for a primary school as part of their community work. But it was slow going and they had absolutely no attention span today. I was on my own as well for most of today (I should have a colleague with me at all times) and every time I went to deal with someone's drama some other bu88er played up! They were worse than the 6 year old in the school. When my colleague finally turned up I had to send one of the teens home, think he is going to be kicked off course cos he has done no work, threw things round and damaged school property  I'm still very new to the job (3months) and I haven't got the skills yet to deal with a group of troublemakers like these are. Normally we get one or 2 out of 12 who are a pain, but with this group there are 2 who are 'good' and the rest are not so good!!!

Anyways, I took a HM curry out of freezer this morning so having that with rice, naan and onion bahjess, all from freezer :)

I feel asleep at 8.30pm last night :rotfl:could not believe it! But I then woke up at 2am and didn't nod off til 4am this morning. But not feeling too tired. I missed Flashforward though :( it's on Fiver or 5USA at 10pm tonight so if I'm still awake I'll watch it then.

    Have a good day all
