    Good morning,
    Happy Anniversary Mr & Mrs Donny-gal foryou.gif

It'll be a quiet day here I think. I want to clean the bedrooms, then I have the dentist at 11am. When I come home after that, I want to do some shredding of old paperwork. Dinner will be a home made ready meal from the freezer :D

    Take care all of you.
  • jc2703 - here is the 'recipe' for the stuffed peppers I made. I just made it up though so just adapt to suit you.

    Ingredients - Serves 2.
2 medium/large peppers, cut in half lengthwise and deseeded.
    medium onion, chopped
    2 gloves garlic, crushed
    handful of peas
100g of breadcrumbs (I had some from a cheese&onion loaf, but any would do)
    1 egg, beaten
herbs to suit (I used oregano and basil)
    handful of cheese

I fried onion and garlic in little olive oil til soft, added handful of frozen peas. and the herbs. Once peas were cooked I added the breadcrumbs and stirred. Finally added the beaten egg and mixed thoroughly.

I then scooped this into the pepper halves and packed it down tightly. Cooked in oven at 180 for around 20ins, then added handful of cheese on top and put back in oven for 5 mins.

Very yummy, and microwaved fine the next day!

  • Morning everyone.
Disturbed night as DS wet the bed, second night in a row <sigh> I think he must be unsettled due to me providing wrap around care to my new little girl, plus his attention seeking screeching is getting worse. It's really hard not to find it deeply irritating (I confess I DO find it irritating) - he was having a paddy about putting on some pants and trousers when my mindees mum came to collect last night - he was shrieking upstairs whilst I was trying to have a conversation with her :o
Anyway it's grey, damp and cold here but I am lovin' it :D Love any excuse for scarves and gloves and wrapping up warm :rotfl:
BM is on. Tea tonight will be the pollock we didn't have last night. Ended up picking at some hobnobs and I wasn't hungry and quite frankly too tired to cook :o

Diva - hope all is OK as you're not up early xxx

jc - Good luck to your DS. Hope he passes his test HSgoodluck.gif

Donny-gal - Happy Anniversary to you both confetti2.gif Bit of confetti to remind you of your wedding day

Essex-girl - hope you're feeling better soon xx

Diana - hope DD doesn't cry too much with her MMR jab

Sunnygirl - hope you're feeling better soon xx

lowesy - Nope I love the cold weather too so we can enjoy the chilliness together whilst everyone else shoots daggars at us :rotfl:

Cranky - good luck at the dentist.

Hugs to those that need them.
Have a good day OS or not.

    Good morning all.

yesterday ended up being quite productive. Decided to do laundry after all as it was such a nice day. Not quite everything dry. Just doing the last bits of ironing and putting away now.

Got Flylady sorted yesterday and best of all I got a start on scrubbing and resealing the kitchen floor. Bit stinky, but it lookks a lot better. Applying the seal is the easy bit, it's the getting it sparkly clean to begin with that's the problem!

Used leftover duck last night for dinner and ds's sandwiches today. Am going out shopping tonight and ds will have the pizza from the freezer. I can't wait till my arm is better enough so I can roll dough again and do a proper one for him! Still trying to use freezer stuff up. Parents here tomorrow so will have to see what there is enough of! there's breadcrumbs in there and stewed apples, so maybe a scandinavian apple pud to follow whatever we have.

Off we go then, let the freezer diving begin! have a good day everyone.

  • ((HUGS)) to all that needthat and a big congrats to Mrs DonnyGal. Well everyones hugs and good thoughts seem to be working for me as I've now figured that the anti sickness drugs are what're making me so tired and now I know I can wean myself off them and hopefully get a bit more energy. Todays plans include sitting down, lying down and eating lots with maybe a bit of TV watching and cross stitching involved somewhere.

Lunch will be a multitude of bits and bobs from the fridge and dinner tonight will be spag bol & garlic bread - lovingly cooked by MrS on the proviso that he can then spend the rest of the night playing on his new Modern Warfare game that he is expecting to be delivered today. If it doesn't come then I think there will be one very grumpy MrS as he's been banging on about this game for what seems like forever.

    Hi all,

Just a very quick one from me as I have been MIA with the tummy bug that DH and DS2 had last week-only DS1 to go now! I was really careful too, wiping down hard surfaces ,hands etc,to no avail. The last meal I had was breakfast on Sunday, but don't feel hungry,so shall just carry on with drinks. No OSiness going on apart from taking a hm ready meal from the freezer for the tribe, def don't feel like cooking (anyway I think you should avoid handling food when you're like this-thats my excuse anyway)

Missed reading some stuff but saw you had a bad reaction to your chemo sunflower, glad you sound a bit brighter now. That game sounds like the very one my DS1 has just gone out for!

    Donnygal - happy anniversary :)
Redruby - :rotfl: at your story yesterday :)
essex girl, sunny girl and rosyred - sorry you're feeling poorly
dianamatthos - well done on your ebay success :)

Thanks for all the best wishes yesterday, they meant a lot and such a nice reminder of what a wonderful community this is :)

I haven't got great cake photos as the light was poor when I took them - but - this is where I work :)

The cake board is covered with some recent journal publications from the institute. The cake is just under 30 cm tall, four layers (bottom fruit, top three lemon sponge) plus an angled supported roof (making a fifth partial layer).

floss2 - no, they don't know I will be away - I haven't had any contact with them at all. My dates aren't fixed yet either, I just know I have to go the Czech republic and to Germany sometime over the next few weeks and I will be back home for the funeral and to do family things on a number of occassions, plus some time in London with some friends from NZ who are visiting. *sigh*

OS wise, I managed to finish the laundry last night which is a good thing. Dinner tonight will probably be chicken and winter greens - and definitely nothing sugary :) have a good day everyone, cel x
