Haribo - Lovely to think of your girls coming home to a cosy fire! hope it didn't take too long to clean up after the chickens _pale_ Must have been delightful to find that in your kitchen!
(((HUGS())) to all who are unwell or in pain.
I made the MoF chicken tikka masala last night, but it was far too hot. I decided that instead of using half a jar of patak's curry paste I'd have a go at making my own curry paste according to his recipe. I felt very housewifely as i ground the toasted spices with my little pestle and mortar, but it took ages to make the actual paste in the food processor - I'd thought it would be very quick and easy, but as it had oil in it, it kept rising up when I switched the motor on, and sticking to the sides of the bowl while the blades whirred round uselessly below  In the end I kept pulsing it and stopping to scrape the stuff back off the sides, and still ended up with at least one biggish piece of chilli which had managed to avoid the blades
. Anyway, the recipe said to use half a jar of Patak's paste "or (Jamie's) own curry paste", so I put all of it in, and I think I should have put in the same amount as if I'd been using the bought version IYSWIM. I may just use the jar next time;) though atm I never want to taste coriander again! I think I'll take the chilli seeds out next time too. I have a Madhur Jaffrey book too - "Simple Indian Cooking" so might try hers instead.
I think tonight's dinner is going to be something really quick and easy such as beans on toast, to make up for last night's fiasco

Redruby - :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Thankfully DD isn't doing this on purpose to get away from the tap end of the bath - she and DS do share baths. Have a water meter couldn't afford to bath them separately

We used to have fish in a tank. I think we still have the net we used to fish them out of the tank at cleaning time. think it's going to be put back into service only hunting "fish" of a different kind
Celyn - sorry to hear about your Uncle. My condolences to you and your family xxx Sounds like the issues over the divorce are far from over - hugs to you about that too.
Haribo - at the chicken poo. Bet you are not best pleased with the extra cleaning norty chicken.
Am loving the use of smilies. Found this one
Not sure if I'd ever had a context in which to use it (looks a bit kinky to me :rotfl:) so I thought I'd stick it in as a random one

Evening all
Not had chance to read thread yet so hugs to all
I've had busy day in work, digging up a garden with the teens. Got free lunch at the school we are working in this week (chips and spaghetti hoops!).
Dinner will be left over mash, left over stuffed peppers and some sweetcorn. The peppers were so yummy, and easy to make, I'll definatly make them again.
I finished bit early so managed to pop to Morrisons for some bargains, filled car up with petrol and used Mr T's 5p off voucher and went to the tip to drop off my recycling!
I plan to chill and read this evening before watching Flashforward
Have a good evening

Celyn - sorry to hear about your loss.
Love MollyxxI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.

I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.

LOL just read this and have to say my DGD Layla like pooping in the bath. and laughs when I have to scoop it out:rolleyes::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Celyn, I am sorry to hear about our uncle xxx
Turned into a beautiful day here, very cold but bright, got three loads on the line, lets hope it dries a bit
Hoovered upstairs and down, cleaned bathroom, made beds, tidied, mopped floors, prepped the veg for tonight, going to have a sit down now, and a game of scrabble
Bitsy ( i dont quite believe im going to say this on a public forum ) do you shove all the kids in the bath together ?? my mum used to do this with us, and being the youngest I always got the tap end  anyway (i was very young) one day I remember thinking that if i did a poo, the other two would jump out and i could have a bath to myself, so i did
:o:o, and lo and behold the other two jumped out screaming, and I quick as a flash lay down and stretched out, ( with poo still floating :rotfl:), my smugness did not last very long, I got a smack on the behind and early to bed, I remember being outraged at the injustice of it all :rotfl::rotfl::o:o:o My mum always said I was the most trouble of all her three
:o:o:o
OS wise i've been chucking crap out of the kitchen in readyness for the new one being fitted soon, plus made soup n veg chilli:p:p
(((HUGGLES))) to all in need, and gosh isn 't it freeeezing:eek::eek:"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

Busy day at work today - was glad to get away in the end. Has been absolutely freezing all day in the office. My feet still haven't warmed up properly. Had lasagna for tea, then nipped up to WW (lost 2 and half lbs - its going but slowly!) and now am going to chill and then watch Flash Forward later - I think I am becoming addicted to that and Lie to Me!
Hugs to all who are feeling unwell or troubled. Hope you all have a nice evening.
