Hi gang, thought I would update you on OHs dad, thanks Juliejim for the reminder. It might not sound too drastic but he has deteriorated so much in the last week it is scary. OH turned up at the hospital last night to find his dad about to go to the toilet in this waste bin, he was really disorientated and clueless. I am worried he thought it was the toilet but apparently he couldn't make it as far as the toilet because his legs are too bad. I am concerned for 2 reasons. He initially went in for rehab on his legs and they are getting worse although maybe they are concentrating on his general and mental health which leads me onto the next. When he came out of hospital the other month with his dementia diagnosis he was given medication to try and control the onset of it. Maybe they haven't got the dose yet but he is going downhill rapidly and nothing much seems to be happening about it. OH spent a lot of time showing him photos of everyone (taken at his 80th in April) and he remembered everyone but me. I am not too worried as I am not family but he couldn't remember me because I didn't have my glasses on and my hair was down in the photo and he is not used to seeing me that way. He remembered who I was when OH talked about my going to visit later in the week though which is good. I hope we don't have to start wearing the same stuff everytime we go. Anyway, sorry for being so off topic but it is nice to offload here so I can be a support to my OH when he gets hope.
I went for a run with some of the girls from work before I came home and the cold has got into my chest so I am going to have a cup of tea to see if it helps and then will try and do some flying.MFW 2025 No. 7 £1931.07/£2700

Afternoon all - afternoon slightly derailed by ds2 and I having to rescue a stray dog that was trying to kill itself on the Ballygowan Rd. We managed to get it and brought it home - good news the dog warden has got the address from its licence tag and has taken it home - much to the relief of my two dogs - the stray growled a lot at them and I think the feeling was mutual although my 2 were better behaved.
Have persuaded ds1 to dyson the stairs for me and ds2 has tested the smoke alarms - I do like flylady delegation!!! I shall concentrate on dusting and decluttering.“the princess jumped from the tower & she learned that she could fly all along. she never needed those wings.”

Hugs to those who need them. I'm about to attempt some flying now - though it's been so dark and gloomy and cold all day, I'm wondering if it's bed time already!I am the leading lady in the movie of my life
