  • :hello:Afternoon. Weather here absolutely attrocious.
Kids told me electric had gone, went outside to put emergency on saw how disgusting it was and went back to my nice warm snug bed and stayed there until nearly noon;)

Won't get much flying done this weekend as kids tend to follow me around undoing as I do:mad: So will just potter and do bits (including the cat litter tray of DOOM)
Also going to think about x...s presents and see if I can make some. Have lots of wool.

Oh and very excited my application form for PTTLS course came today so will fill that in and get it sent straight of:T Then after xmas I will have to buy some nice stationary :money:
Everyone keep warm, draw the curtains and snuggle on settee. There must be some wonderful old weepy film on the afternoon.
The problem with common sense is its not very common:rotfl:

Yey I have finished the garage sorting. It is so much better out there, still loads of stuff but it is stuff we need (or think we do) and it all has a home now.

Hoovering of the living room next and a quick dust around in the family room.

The weather has improved slightly so I may go as far as town, need to get some wine as we are out at friends for dinner. If it doesn't improve it'll be from the corner shop!

Triker, I've just seen a job lot of 108 thongs on ebay! various colours and sizes!! £12 or so.

2 ebay parcels posted and other 5 sat here waiting to go, but not paid for yet, why is it people win and then don't pay for at least 6 days in one case?? I have sent them a reminder to see if that helps speed things along.

It is now chucking it down here
108 thongs!! :eek:You wouldn't need to do any washing for several months!
I know what you mean about people who don't pay for age, it annoys me too. Mind you, I was supposed to post a parcel today, as they paid y'day but it's too stormy out there. I refuse to go out in it. Have wrapped parcel and will post first thing on Monday.

What's the course you are going to do? We are doing just as you instruct - we watched Big Fat Liar which was absolutely brilliant! DH is watching Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure which I'm not too fond of.

Hugs Kazm hope you are ok xx

    Hugs Triker and Rach

DH just asked what's for lunch!I said: "I've had mine!" Heartless wife aren't I!

greenbee - sounds like fun, bit far away for today but I might just take you up on that next time
Pity... still, it'll be ongoing all winter, and I'll be replanting in the spring!

If anyone wants any bright magenta paeonies, let me know, as I've just dug up my paeony bed, and there are masses of roots to divide. I have two large buckets full... so even if my mum takes lots, there are still plenty to spare!

Off to make lunch... progress is slow due to the weather, but if it clears up tomorrow we should get it done!

soup bubbling away, DH had to go out to the spar for bacon to put in it (hm minestrone). That's his penance for being a grumpy bu**er. I'm going for my shower then we'll have lunch. Might go for a wander up the high street later, i get cabin fever staying in!

Well I am being uber lazy today. DH got up with the kids and I am still in bed :eek::eek: I dont think I realised how tired I was til this morning and the lie in has done wonders. Have an AF associated headache though which is annoying esp as we are meant to be going out dancing tonight :eek: ( should say clubbing but that makes it sound more raucous than it is, its a little 80's club and entry is free before 10, and we will be home by midnight :rotfl::rotfl:). We've not done this in a long time, we are both in equal measures looking forward to it and dreading it!

The kids have played nicely by the sounds of it. DD1 came in to see me, took the huff about something, threw her head back in a strop, missed the pillow and smashed it off the headboard - silly girl. Lots of tears and cuddles ensued of course and huff was instantly forgotten.

I have no plan for this afternoon, mainly because there is so much I'd like to do but can't make up my mind -
    accounts
    clear out filing cabinet
    wrap M&Ds presents
    photograph stuff for ebay
    clear our spare room cupboard
    finish clearing bureau

I could easily spent the rest of the day on any one of them. Arrrgh indecision. Should do the ebay thing in readiness for free listing tomorrow but just cant face it. Hmmmm

    sexy
    - well done :T:T:T:T:T

macpep - hugs and <just a cyst> vibes from me too. twinks are twinks hobnobs. they are totally gorgeous but dangerously addictive, a batch doesnt last long.....
    Hobnob Recipe

    Ingredients

    8oz sr flour
    8oz sugar
    8oz porridge oats
    8oz margarine
    1tbsp golden syrup
    1tbsp hot water
    1/2 tsp bic soda

    Instructions

Mix the flour, oats and sugar, melt marg, syrup and water in a pan. Stir in bic soda and add to dry mix.

Then mix well and make into smallish balls which you then put on a greased tray and flatten slightly with a fork. Put in the oven at 180 degrees C for 15 mins... and cool on the tray. The aim is to get them golden in the oven not brown.

angie - welcome! sounds like you are getting into the swing of flying even with some me time pottering in town :)

Dusty - thanks for the M&S Cava deal thingy - we are having New Year party so look slike this will be the best way to get some fizz for the bells - cheers! Shall be sending DH out into the wild later ......or am wondering if the deal is online and does the 1p delivery thing apply... hmmmm
and well done garage sorting. wanna come and do mine ??? ;)

mummyof5 - big hugs to you lovey, its so horrible when the kids are in pain or discomfort, you just want to take it for them dont you. I know what you mean about going away, we only have 3, and none of them have any health problems and they are all good sleepers (touch wood) but still it feels waaaaaaaay more hassle than its worth to try and go away without them. We went away for 2 nights to a wedding back in June and left them with my friend, it was lovely but the stress before we went of making wure everything was organised, and of course all organised by me, DH just pithced up at the appointed time and off we went on our jolly. He thought it was great and why dont we do it more often ???:rolleyes::rolleyes:
What ages are yours ? And which ones need the wraps ? Are the wraps long term or will there a come a time when they wont need them ? Are there any friends to whom they could be farmed out for sleepovers whose Mum would be able to help, anyones Mum a nurse for example? My thing was I wanted them to be together as they are all small but I often wonder (hope!!!) if they get older would separate sleepovers be a possibility. Questiosn questions but I must say despite the stress of planning, the break from the children was lovely and really let me and DH reconnect.

rach - hope you ok after taking a tumble

fedup - well done honey, very proud of you, must have been very hard but I'm sure its the right thing, for now anyway ((((hugs))))

Right I really must get up properly now. Have lovely Saturdays folks and stay safe out there (or better still STAY IN!!!)

Coffee done and a bar of Fruit & Nut for lunch :o bad kaz.

I really need a plan for the next month so that I can try and fit everything in without doing too much it that makes sense.

    Need to
    • Update finances
    • Plan budget for Christmas (I know its a bit late but with the wedding this year I had less time to think about it, oh and less money!)
    • Update freezer list
    • Do some meal plans based on above
Well thats some immediate things but I need to have a master list as well
Forgot to say well done Fedup - I think you've turned the corner
Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!
