Great news Soappie xx0 -
Soappie, I guess the plans for the Ark are on hold then
well done x:j
Sunnygirl when introducing new kittens I have kept them in a separate room for a couple of hours, the other cat can tell they are in the house still and then have let them meet each other, I never leave them alone together until I'm happy the growling/smacking has calmed down.
Just had a cuppa. Going to start dinner next and hopefully get some more of the receipts sorted out as they are still on the table and I'll have to clear them for dinner. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Ok, haven't read the thread yet - just diving online to answer some internal mail and to say isn't the weather in the South West fun today?
We are battening down the hatches here - winds already up to 60mph and forecast up to 85 tonight. At least the high tide and rain won't bother us too much, we are at the top of a hill but it does make it a tad breezy! The sea is all white horses and big tankers sheltering in the bay.
Hope everyone is having a good day. I have cleared some things off my daily list and am about to go look at my extras too.. though got distracted with my new Archers Cookbook which is making me itch to get into the kitchen and bake! Yoghurt and apricot muffins anyone?
Diva.xTo be frugal, you need to spend money wisely, simply spending less is not enough. If you can't handle me at my worst then you don't deserve me at my best...Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the little voice at the end of the day that says I will try again tomorrow.0 -
DD's party is on the 12th and we're holding it at the local Snakes and Ladders - it's a playbarn....Because there are 3 birthday children, and there will be some overlap in who they invite, we're hoping to have 15 children come along. We'll point them in the direction of the play equipment and stand well back!
We're getting her a big arts and crafts set and some books, and I've got my eye on that game 'mouse trap' as a little extra.
BTW we have mousetrap, its different to when we had it as kids, very annoying, they can't play it without us helping as the traps go off ALL the time and you need an adult with a steady hand to reset. Every time they nudge the board to move their mouse around all the traps go off. Its funny for 5 minutes then annoying, So just saying if you do get it be prepared to help loads!Jan GC: £202.65/£450 (as of 4-1-12)

Thanks for the replies Zoe & Dusty. I believe that foster cat is up to date with her injections. Might have to guess which vet it might be under or try to get the relatives to find out so I could double check. We have a boy cat, Monty, and the foster cat is a girl, but he has been 'done' and I believe foster cat has been too, so we'll not be having the pitter patter of tiny paws. It's looking like it might be tomorrow that we get her but we'd mentioned to DD1 that it might be today, so she's in a mood 'cos we've not got her yet.
Sending you hugs and positive coping vibes Zoe...ex sounds like he's just out to get at you rather than thinking of the children. I'm sure his track record will speak volumes to the court.
Gonna go and check on tea now...tuna pasta bake...thought we'd have an early one as I'm starving and the girls are in that end of the week and very tired mood that makes me just want to get them into bed early!0 -

don't feel like I've done much flying today...but I've had a good week, so I guess I can't be on top of my game everyday.
sorted out some bits for freecycle and ebay - but when I was taking the photos for ebay decided that they were probably better going to the charity shop. so bagged them and took them to the shop so although I won't make any money at least there's more room on my clothes rail!weaving through the chaos...0 -
Diva - yes please to the apricot and yogurt muffins!
I managed to complete today's job application just in time to allow myself 20 minutes to bath, slather on some nice cream and slap on some make-up. That leaves me with 10 minutes of my Level 1 objective to save for later. Perhaps while DH walks my boys up to their pal's birthday party through the rain later!;) (I'm assuming that MSE Forum time doesn't count for these 'time to self' purposes!)
So I'm now off to treat the DCs' rooms to a quick once-over so that they can get to their beds when they arrive home from aforementioned party, exhausted. I hope that's what they do anyhow as I've offered to babysit for friend's lad once the party is over, in his home. No, I'm not saintly - I just thought that asking him to get himself ready for bed and go to sleep would be far easier that trying to settle my two - so I'll go to my pal's house and DH can negotiate with our two angels :rotfl:
DH and I had talked about possibly sneaking up to the pub for a nice drink while the party is on but it's pouring down here too so I'd rather cosy up indoors.0
