some very good points here
i've definately decided to avoid the N97 but get either HTC or the N900.
Seems to be more support for the HTC than the N900 -
Sorry to do this guys but what about a Blackberry then? Whats the latest model and is it any good???0 -
hehe, you're as bad as me..
My friend just got a Bold, and is very happy with it (on Vodafone). I've played with it.. it's nice... but I dislike the whole proprietary feeling... i.e. no "make your own" apps for starters. It's a good solid platform, but very......... what's the word...

I just cant make my mind up - i dont mind paying a little extra if the phone is quality but i'm mainly going to use it for Internet, Texts, emails and calls so the contract its on is equally important if not more.0

The Bold had noticeable 'lag' whilst scrolling web pages, so I think that rules it out of the running.Starting Debt: ~£20,000 01/01/2009. DFD: 20/11/2009 :j

well the N900 doesnt get released until the 16th so i think i should probably stop looking until then.
I've noticed some sites are firing contracts out already on T Mobile and Vodafone.
I've been with Vodaphone for almost 9 years so probably going to swap to Orange maybe - seem to have the best deals0 -
If judged by N97 and 5800 XM's reliability, I would avoid N900 - at least initial few months. Even though it has a different operating system, it is still likely to be Nokia's early beta release!
Pity, I was once a die hard Nokia fan but no more!
Having said so, I think most smart phones have some issues. iPhones are no different. In fact, Apple crippled iPhone so many ways that developers can't do many basic things without jail breaking it. Nokia tried to make their systems too open and that introduced lots of software incompatibility problems.Happiness is buying an item and then not checking its price after a month to discover it was reduced further.0
