Great savings plan PAP, I think it can really help to balance the gotta-saves with the wanna-savesNo longer using this account for new posts from 20130

Thanks everyone
Gem, it will help I think. When I have saved before I felt like I 'had' to, doing this I will have something I need to save but also be allowed to spend 'extra' iyswim. I think it will save me falling of the wagon each time I am debt free.
So I guess as its nrealy payday I should do the whole budget thing. I am still unsure on what I will be payed so can't do this in detail but...
£120.00 ~ Rent
£16.00 ~ House ins
£44.00 ~ Bus ticket
£33.78 ~ BT
£17.98 ~ Credit card (running tops)
£23.81 ~ Credit card (debt free)
Total £255.57
So as long as I recieve £300 I should be fine as thats my groceries covered for next month too. I do need to get some more frontline for Thomas thats £17.99 + p&p so I should be able to factor that in too, I hope. We shall soon find out...
From July my outgoings before groceries will be £213.78 per month. Thats at least £200 excess each month after groceries. So my plan is £75.00 1) and £35.00 split between 2)/3). That would leave £80 for essentails and entertainment. I am still on a toiletries & candle ban as I have enough for another month at least, if not more. The only thing I am getting itchy with now is my music, I haven't downloaded anything since JanuaryI will last until July though
Forever plodding at it's best :beer:0 -

And my plans come crashing down around me... It would appear with the restructure of my workplace we are having our contracts renewed... again! Sounds like nothing too big, execpt my pay was frozen at a higher wage (50p per hour more) over a year ago as I was then a specialist person in my area. Now we no longer do that specialist thing we are all getting 're-branded' as general assistants. Therefore I will lose before tax £40 a month, effectively 2 hours a week, 8 hours a month  That coupled with the fact we must be avalible 18 hours a day for a 4 hours shift I am really not happy. However thats life, I will see what the next 60+ days bring
So now before tax/pension/ni I will recieve approx £489.60 in wages. My pension is about £20 so that means approx £450.00 a month grossHowever looking at the positive at least I still have enough coming in to cover my outgoings :rotfl:
Still plodding :beer:0 -

:j :j Debt Free :j :j
Woo hoo, once again, for the final time I am debt free. Just have to wait for the payments to clear to the account for the offical date but I am debt free reallyDue to working bank holidays etc I actually took home much more than I was expecting so after bills I have £131.98 remaining. My plan is to spend a little and then save at least £70
I don't need groceries this month as I have lots to use, however I may need to f&v, we shall see.
Otherwise its plod, plod, plod :rotfl:
As a side thought, these were my new years resolutions...
*to get to goal - 149lb
*to start exercising/get a bike ~ I now 'run' and I have an exercise bike
*become debt free ~ Completed :j
*start saving (again!) ~ Ongoing, but I have started
Not too bad considering its only June....0 -
