Like I said I couldn't get to the bottom of it.

    Keep trying.

I'm sure you will work it out one day.
It was privately owned and then nationalised in 1997 but it is still paying interest to it's original share holders and half the profits it makes go to the Queen

Hopefully one of the 'Non Blogs' that provide you with your 'News' will provide you with some facts.....like the fact that the Bank was nationalised in 1946, not 1997 !!!!

1/2 of it's profits go to the Queen :rotfl::rotfl: You couldn't make this stuff up !!!!!!!

    These threads are quite hilarious.

They pop up every few months.

Presumably some unemployed mid 20's geek, living at home with Mum, wonders why he's been refused a Credit Card. He assumes it's because the Bank are waiting for a customer to deposit £500 into their current account, before they can give him a card with a £500 limit. Then one day whilst searching YouTube for videos of Britney naked, he stumbles across the old Money as Debt video. and suddenly it all falls into place .....these Banks who can just create money out of thin air weren't refusing to give him a CC because they didn't have enough money ........there had to be another reason (not linked to the fact he's an unemployed loser with no life beyond the flickering screen on his Celeron 500) There must be a conspiracy somewhere !!!!

So a few hours of Googling and the 'truth' becomes obvious.

The Federal Reserve was set up in 1913 in direct contravention of his rights under the US Constitution that he's never read, and doesn't remotely understand, as a UK citizen born 70 years later.

The Private for Profit Fed, and JP Morgan and it's other friends in the Banking community, and the cartel of other central Banks have a nefarious end-game, and the time is soon approaching when they will destroy us all !!!!!

It's time to sign up for MSE (or use a sockpuppet account set up previously) to warn everyone, because it's at least 3 months since the last thread, and with our short attention spans we will have forgotten all about it !!!

Yep my mistake, "gained Operational Independence in 1997". I did get my info previously from the BOE site but remembered the wrong date.

When I say the Queen I'm referring to half the BOE profits going to HM (Her Majesty's) Treasury - that's from the BOE site. When you see HM it really does mean a financial link to the Royal Family. You can't say HM without that.

You are only interested in jumping on anything you can find fault with. You agreed with my main points but then deleted your post. Have you got a pathological aversion to agreeing with people? I'm informing people about Fractional Reserve Banking (which is completely undeniable) because I want people to wise up. I don't want to see this country impoverished by the scam that is going on between government and the banks. If you would rather call it gross mismanagement, that's fine, but stop wasting your energy when you could be trying to understand the problem more deeply.

You make a lot of assumptions which are completely wrong. The profile you just described says more about yourself than it does about me.

    There are none so blind.............

The fact that you are aware of this and still don't think there is anything wrong is worse than someone not even being aware.

How real do you want it chuck?

This is nothing to do with tin foil hats, just look at the facts.

The bank is screwing us over yet again. And it is a direct result of the way the system is set up.

You might have made a few quid - the same as me, but it doesn't alter the fact that the system is rotten to the core.
